Visa Subclass 189 Refused

Hello everyone,

I just got a bad news today. My visa application was refused due to overclaiming of points in my work experience. I lodged an application with 60points, claiming 15 points for overseas work experience (8yrs of the last 10 yrs) but did not claim for IELTS (6.5 band score). However, 2 years of which was not accepted by the case officer as closely related to my nominated occupation. Please advise on what to do. 🙁

Will I still be able to reapply if ever I submit an IELTS with 7 band score to claim for another 5 points and still get 60 for reapplication? 🙁 🙁 🙁

So lost now, 140k has been wasted and i worry if i wouldn't be able to apply again. 🙁

It was VETASSESS that assessed my work experience so I relied also on the result.

Job experience ko po is sa accounting section more on ap/ar e sa Anzco part sya bg clerical job.

Internal auditor pala ang nominated occupation ko. (There's something wrong with my connection, d agad nakapagpost ng comment.

Vetassess assessed my previous work experiences including the 2-yr accounting job so i relied on the result.

@cylin - oh no.. nag email ba ang CO, to explain why it was not counted as related to your nominated occupation? or basta na lang sinabi na hindi sya kasali?

My explanation naman po qouting the duties and responsibilities stated in my COE and referring it as closely related to anzsco Accounts Clerk rather than Internal Auditor.

@cylin ok.. In the end, as stated in immi website the CO has the last authority whether to give points or not to all your claimed points..

You can appeal, but that is a long and costly process..

I guess the best thing for you to do now is to get you ielts 7.0 and re apply while your assessment is still valid..

Do you have any idea sir if i can still re apply once I nail my Ielts? Does the visa refusal doesn't ban me in reapplying or submitting another EOI?

I couldn't find any complete info on the internet of any similar cases as mine so I'm not quite sure on what to do. I plan to send an email to them to enlighten me.

When you reapply does it mean you need to pay again the visa processing fees? Anyone know about this.

may questiobn sana ako, nung naglodge ka ng EOI with 60 pts mabilis ka ba nainvite to lodge visa? anong timeline? thanks

Hello flor, di pa ko nakare-apply. Masama na naman dahil ganon pa din ang result ng ielts ko sa s&w parts.

Hi @familiaC, mabilis lang akong nainvite...siguro nakahabol ako sa cut-off nung time na yun kaya nakuha agad ako. Mga 2-3 weeks lang yata.
