Hi, Guys! Kaka-submit ko lang yesterday ng Victoria SS and EOI ko and nagulat ako I already received the Victoria SS Ref. No. kaninang 6:00 AM. Do you think it's a bad sign? Kasi I was able to read from some comments here that it took 1-3 weeks for them to receive an acknowledgement. Thanks! 🙁

Hi, just a question. I'm gathering my requirements for Vic state nomination. How does the 2-year obligation work, does that prevent me from leaving VIC? Let say, for example, I wanted to have a one month vacation in PH, does the 2-year obligation apply and prevent me from travelling outside VIC?

The 2 year obligation only prevents you to live and work outside VIC. Vacation/trips outside VIC is ok as long as your permanent address is in VIC.

Victoria State Sponsorship Update: Temporary closure in skilled applications for ICT occupations

Victoria State has announced that due to a large volume of skilled visa nomination applications received, applications for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) occupations will not be accepted from 11 November 2016 to 6 March 2017.

The closure will be for a period of four months, however further updates will be provided should this be extended.

The occupations affected by the temporary closure are:

135112 ICT Project Manager

261111 ICT Business Analyst

261112 Systems Analyst

261311 Analyst Programmer

261312 Developer Programmer

261313 Software Engineer

261314 Software Tester

261399 Software and Applications Programmers nec

262111 Database Administrator

262112 ICT Security Specialist

263111 Computer Network and Systems Engineer

This temporary closure will allow processing of all outstanding applications and reduce the risk of delay for future applicants.

All applications currently in process, and received prior to this date, will be assessed against current guidelines and an outcome will be provided in due course.

Applications for all other occupations eligible for Victorian Government visa nomination remain open.

Note: Applicants applying under the streamlined PhD and 457 pathwaysare not affected by this closure and may apply with these ICT occupations during this time.

This update is applicable for all applicants going for state sponsorship with Victoria under 190 & 489 sub class.

Bad news for aspiring ICT applicants

Good news for existing applicants kasi hindi na matatabunan ng new applicants with higher qualifications and sooner makakareceive na ng results from Victoria kasi inuubos nalang nila ung ICT applicants

@ClmOptimist yes bad nes for the new applicants but it should give them more time to add more points to their existing ones and if possible they can apply for 189.

As for existing, i hope its good news.

Buti na lang nagpasa na ako nung November 9, muntik ko pa this week ipasa, buti na lang!!! But I hope it's good news for those who just made it to the cut-off. Worry ko kasi baka formality lang na kasama kami but in reality, they will just reject. Pero God knows what's best for everyone. In His time, all good things will happen...

Hi need your advise, nagpasa na ako ng VIC SS last Oct 15 and already acknowledged it by the body. Unfortunately, I lost my job on Oct 31 (company closure). My concern is yung CV ko kasi nakasulat sa latest employment ko that time of submission is up to present. Need ko ba revise CV ko then put the end date nung last employment ko then re-send sa kanila?

@nit@sirk sa tingin ko no need na kasi ang evaluation nila is kung kailan yung submission date mo sa online application. pero kung may EOI ka, yun ang dapat mo i update para di magconflict once na mainvite ka.

In my case, di ako ng EOI for VIC online application lang...
