balik thread na naman ako. Due to schedule and family wlang time mag ielts. Lalaban ulit sa march 15. bat hirap na hirap ako sa writing! hahaha. Bibigyan ko ng taning sarili ko, take 2 na ko ielts.

basa kapa nang maraming articles...tapos mimic mo sir yung way nila papaano magsulat...

then magbigay ka nang situation sa sarili mo...kagaya nang:

you just won an award at your company's dinner and dance.

a.) write a letter stating your success

b.) how would you celebrate your success?

c.) with whom you would invite on your celebration?

similar to sa question sa task 1...nang IELts ACTUAL EXAM..similar pero hindi actual kasi medyo malabo na maalala ko haha...pero more or less close...: )

Welcome back pre! BC or IDP? Hataw lang pre paki-resbak na lang ako haha medyo isa rin sa mga frustrations ko ang writing eh.

I just underwent my speaking test kanina. Aussie yung naassign sakin and he was kind enough to provide me guidelines and tips before we started. Hopefully pasado, mejo alangan lang akong mataas na mataas score. Pero I feel I passed it (spell confidence!). Sa Sat na the rest of my tests. Sa mga kasabay ko mag IELTS at sa ibang magtetake din ng exam, GOOD LUCK AND MAY WE ALL GET THE SCORES WE ALL NEED!

Actually, it doesn't matter for migration purposes. The DIBP (or DIAC) does not specify either which type of IELTS migration applicants should take. In general, GT is fine unless specified by their skills assessing authority.

^yup. Academic is said to be harder than GT for the Reading and Writing components. So mas malaki ang chance to get higher marks sa GT. Pero if you like taking on challenging tasks, go for the Academic just to really test your English language proficiency hehe.

and take note too that though ACS does not have specific IELTS requirements, some states have their own minimum requirements, as mentioned too by @filipinacpa. for example, Victoria requires at least 7 across all bands for IT professionals:

Mga sir hingi naman ako opinion kung pano kayo nagprioritize ng aaralin sa ielts. Na-overwhelmed ako sa dami ng dapat aralin. thanks!

@lexxus don't stress yourself too much. I know madaling sabihin na magrelax pero it really won't do you any good to stress over it. - One hour a day.

Unahin mo yung module that you think you are weakest in.
Familiarize yourself with the format of the exam (if this is going to be your first take). One or two sample tests should give you an idea of the test format.
Then do practice tests.

Iba iba tayo ng strengths and weaknesses. Ako I concentrated on speaking by recording myself over and over using my old but still serviceable phone hehe then I listened to the recordings. I took note of my tendency to talk in spurts (mabilis magsalita then biglang mauubusan ng sasabihin tapos gagamit ng fillers like uhm err) so I practiced slowing down para hindi maubusan agad ng sasabihin at para makapag-isp ng isusunod na sasabihin before matapos yung current line of thought/thinking.
