Nakakainis ang Listening!!!!!! Yung pinakamadali pa! Pero honestly yan ang pinakanahirapan ako last 10 May exam. Andaming Multiple choice! 14 questions ata mult.choice at yan pa ang weakest link ko. Many times ako nawala sa recording 🙁. Hay siguro 1 or 2 points nalang 7.0 na sana ako sa Listening.
Pero oks lang kasi sobrang happy ako sa Reading. For the first time ang di ko maipasa pasa ay naka 7.0 na ako!!! And this is what I did to obtain 7.0. Honestly di talaga ako nagreview na for a month and di mo talaga kailangan magpractice ng practice ng exercises. Ang ginawa ko I just read and read online articles but instead of reading, I just skim. Dun ko mejo na-master ang skimming. Ang teknik pala talaga sa reading ay di mo babasahin lahat. Skim lang talaga parang you are looking for the answer agad while reading. Questions first then passage second. Binaliktad ko ang method kasi before basahin buong passage then questions. Maling mali! Nasagutan ko yung mga tanong kahit di ko talaga naintindihan yung passage! hahaha. Parang look for the questions then <b>browse </b>lang yung passage. Not exacty comprehending each sentence.
And sa writing naman. Dapat may topic sentence each paragraph. Then importante is <b>UNITY</b>. The paragraph must work as one family. Lahat ng sasabihin sa paragraph ay developing the topic sentence. They must all relate to the topic sentence. After the topic sentence, bigay ako example(For example). then explain ko example. Then why that example happened(This is because). Then what is the effect (Consequently). Then sa last paragraph laging. "Looking at this example makes it clear why..." or "Thus, it becomes evident that...". Then sa task 1, writing a letter, you must answer <b>DIRECTLY</b> the task.
Sa speaking naman, very important that you answer the question <b>DIRECTLY</b>. Kung ano ang tanong yun ang sagot. Do not beat around the bush or give answers that is NOT related to the question. Kahit 1 or 2 sentences lang basta dapat you are answering the question exactly as it was asked. For example ang tanong, Do you work best in the morning or afternooon? Just answer. I work best in the morning. Yun lang. When the examiner asks, why, that's the right time to give a reason. Don't answer like this. Actually, I work best at night because it's cold and the kids are asleep so there are no distractions. This answer doesn't answer the question! Kahit perfect ang english mo, you never answered the question. Kaya baka 3.0 or 4.0 lang makuha mo sa Task Response.
If I were to summarize IELTS after taking 3 times, I learned that it is about being able to read, understand and write paraphrases (2 sentences having the same meaning but written in a different way) and being able to answer questions <b>DIRECTLY</b>.
So no worries kasi sa pasok naman score ko sa Canada and mukhang pang Canada talaga ako hehe. I will file my application to Canada next week, hopefully pasok pa sa top 1000 cap for 2174.

Pero never say die, I will take my 4th IELTS baka nasa 4th take na ang charm 🙂
P.S. Di pa nire-release yung Test Report Form dito sa MY. Meron ba sainyo 10 May test takers na nakuha na yung Test Report? How about you @raiden14?
