@coolhart meron validity as per DIPB ruling is 3 yrs from the date of your assessment certificate, under my assessing body 4 yrs naman. Pero in my case after positive result of my qualifying exam which is really needed for my profession, that will be the time APC will issue the skills assessment that is required for visa application purposes.

The assessment that I had finished last year is only prerequisite for the qualifying exam. I'm not in a hurry to take IELTS again because I'll be using it for my exam on March next year pa and not for visa application yet, since KAPS exam (qualifying exam namin) was only scheduled twice a year, every March and Sept. I failed my IELTS test last May and unfortunately the last day of application for qualifying exam is 1st of July, eh di na ako aabot. Siguro I will try to sit again next month or baka October na alng ulit.

Brad magandang gabi kelan nga ulit exam mo? Di ko pa kase na sort lahat ng materials ko eh pero meron akong isesend bukas sayo sampler lng... Nasa bahay kc yung mga files ko isosort ko pa baka uwi ako dun nxtwk... Pero mga cambridge materials pwde ko masend sayo bukas. Sensya na kapatid kala ko na email ko na eh @jhamayca

@imeetr thanks for your clarification. I was thinking that once i received the positive result of my assessment i have only few months validity therefore I'm running to get the target band before the result come out..Now I'm not worried, I have enough time naman pala 🙂 but of course it will be better if I get the target band on August 16, 2014 para hindi na wasting time and money 🙂.

hanap ka na lang brad ng free reviewers online, saka request ka sa mga members dito sa pinoyau, madaming mababait na nag-sshare. saka kapag nag-enroll ka sa BC, merong free downloadable reviewers.. ganun din ata sa IDP.

medyo subjective kasi ang performance sa IELTS, and in any test actually, may iba na may mga reviewers and nag-enroll sa mga review centers, yet hindi pa rin guaranteed na makukuha mo yung target band score ng one-time.

practice+patience+prayers pa din talaga. Goodluck and God bless!

@sonsi_03 i'm based in SG now. I will try to check if open pa yng registration sa 16 Aug for IDP and BC. Ano kaya mas stringent sa knilang dalawa in terms of evaluating the examinees? Hope our friends here from SG can share there experienced. Thank in Advance

I have tried both (3 times BC 1 time IDP) don't get me wrong on this but i am somehow much comfortable with BC depende sa feel siguro ng tao yan. In terms of standards they are just the same on most procedures and protocols.

there are also a lot of practice tests you can get online for free which will help you get the feel of it, again as i said even if you enroll in a review center but you don't put your heart into it, it will not give a good yield.

hitting your target on the 1st take is an excellent goal; tiwala ka lang brad and everything will fall into place.

I will email my materials anytime soon... for the meantime, you can gather some materials as well from the people here who are always ready to lend a hand. gudlak brad and all is well! ;-)

Hi everyone! I'm done with my Speaking Test and so far, I believe I have answered the interviewer correctly half of the time :p I get nervous sometimes and this makes me speak fast, then I would run out of words to say. You really have to calm your nerves, and practice using the topics available online.

My feedback on my 1st visit at the test centre?

Good:

Well-ventilated
Quiet

Bad:

I waited for nearly 2 hours 🙁
The interviewer may have been tired already, so she cannot prevent from yawning several times while I speak. Hehehe... It is a major distraction for me, so you must learn how to handle disturbances. 🙂

@emily_strange Where did you undergo your speaking test? Would you still recall what was the questions in all part? just a summary will do 🙂
