@karl_amogawin hi karl. Congrats. Buti k pa. Ako 3 takes na sablay pa rin. Writing din problema ko. Nawawalan na nga ko ng pag asa parang gusto ko na igive up. Pero nung nakita ko post mo nabuhayan din ako ng loob. Ano bang technique para makakuha ng 7 sa writing? Need ko kasi 7 for each component. I even enrolled IELTS express sa British Council Singapore pero waley pa din sablay lagi. Feeling ko yung Task 1 ko yung nagpapababa ng score ko. Kasi inuuna ko gawin Task 2 then natitirang oras ko sa Task 1 minsan 10mins lang so nangyayari its either di ko natatapos or mali mali yung analysis ko sa chart. IELTS academic pala ko.

@nedz Hi bro. Naku academic ka. Sa GT kasi inuuna ko task 1. lagi sakto ako natatapos. Sa task 2, ginaya ko nga format ni ieltsbuddy.com.. naging consistent 7 ako nun. Sa academic task 1, never ko try yun eh. Kasi sa GT task 1, madali lang kasi letter lang. Kaya mo yan bro. ako nga several times, naging inspiration ko un little boy ko and wifey. hehe. Wala stability dito sa singapore especially employment pass holder lang ako eh. Mantra ko nga, nakaya ng iba, kaya rin natin! Worth it yan pre pag nalampasan mo

Guys.. sa mga nahihirpan sa writing eto po tips ko. I think it worked kasi nag 7 ako.

Try to avoid words that are 'common' kasi dapat pakita natin ang vocabulary natin and of course yung grammar natin. search 'EngVid Emma' sa youtube dami po nya tips.
for non-academic IELTS, unahin natin ang Task 2. nun ni-una ko task 1, na time pressured ako kasi ang haba pala ni Task 2. buti nakatapos ako eksakto with 30 secs to go.
Learn how to properly write a letter. 'introduction' and then 'body' and then conclusion.

sa body of the letter make sure you make your point without beating around the bush.

Remember po.. no right or wrong answer sa writing. ang tinitingnan po ay ang english ninyo.
Listen to BBC radio, watch Downtown abbey, Game of Thrones, British movies kasi po UK english at hindi American english ang IELTS.

Guys sensya na medyo kulang lang sa oras magbackread. Tanong ko lang, may nakaexperience na ba dito na nagparemark ng 2 modules at naging successful? Sa case namin, 6.5 kami sa W at S, 7.5 naman sa L at R. Salamat po!

@nerdy_98 hello po.. try nyo po pa-remark kung feeling nyo dapat 6.5 po or higher dpt score. marerefund nman po kung sakali m-change score nyo pero pg hnd nbago yun lng goodbye po sa 7k. Kung hnhabol nyo po time re-take nlng po.

May alam ba kayong review centers or helpful tools to study Writing and Speaking? Mukha kasing don ako mahihirapan i-self study.

@GoldSeeker naka-8 ako sa speaking. self-study lang din like you. what I did was practicing consistently with my partner. english kami for a month hehe. then pinasadahan namin lahat ng possible topic for speaking.. I tried to listed din sa youtube "english conversation". try mo iseach.. tinuturo nila ung basic answer on some english conversational questions...

mas maganda po ata review center iba din kasi pag review center mas focus at pressure to learn. Yung wife ko po 4 weeks ata every Sunday 8am-12pm pina practise nila lahat actual listening, speaking, reading and writing tapos may score kung medyo mababa ka di ka nila papayagang mag ielts. Eto ata pinakamahirap na stage so dapat talaga bigyan ng time. 🙂

Thank you @bernaabad ! Well I only have 16 days left until my exam so I hope that works for me. 🙂 Btw, may nababasa ako sa mga post dito tungkol sa remarking. I though combination of scores are not allowed in aus? Or is remarking different from combining?

@krad_angel I would suggest enrolling in niner. Medyo mahal nga lang 6k. Unlimited writing and speaking tutorial siya for 2 years + lectures. Although you may need to line up in their offices as early as 8am to get slots for tutorial. You can contact them about this so that you could learn more about the review program that they offer 🙂

@GoldSeeker Nag-enroll na ako sa kanila kaso I couldn't get the most out of it. No one to one schedule after 5pm. Konti lang naaatendan ko kasi 6-9pm lang ako nakakattend ska weekend. And, I'm certain that most of the practice exams are from Cambridge 1-9 books.

@GoldSeeker what do you mean with combination of scores?

with regards sa remarking, if you have scores like 6.5 and needed 7, you could apply for remarking lalo na if sure ka na you did well. for example, if you get 6.5 sa writing and 7 speaking, and kailangan 7 ka in all subtest, iparemark mo dahil pwede yun mag bago. advisable din na go for remark of 2 subtest instead of 1 lang, para mas malaki ung chance na mabawi mo ung remarking fee..

in my case, may writing is just 6.5.. when I applied for remarking, un lang ang pinaremark ko, sadly hindi nabago. kaya di ko na nabawi ung remarking fee.

otherwise, if di ka comfortable sa test, it is also suggested na go for re-take instead of remarking..

If you didn't meet the required score for a subtest, you can retake the exam then if you get a higher grade in that subtest, you could change you score for that specific subtest only. Yun yung sa combination which I believe is not followed by Australia.

Magkano naman po yung remarking fee?

@krad_angel Ohh oo nga po. I dont think it's advisable for someone who is working. Ako po kasi I make the most of the one-on-one tutorials and the tutors give really helpful advices.
