Share some tips on IELTS

I just want to share my IELTS experience yesterday....ayos schedule ng Speaking Test ko over 3 hours away after ng written, so what I did I went to spa center and had foot spa to relax myself. Pwede pa nga sana ako mag-malling kaya lang umulan. Later na lang ako magbigay ng review tips when I receive positive results. For now, what I can say is keep practising all the sections as much as possible everyday in a real test condition.

@LokiJr hi totoo ba na pedeng re evaluate yung writing at speaking? kse ung hubby ko .5 lang ang kulang sa writing at speaking sa listening nya 8 ung reading nya 8.5. eh need nya is 7 in all bands we took the test sa BC here in singapore.. pede kayang i re evaluate ung speaking at writing lang? i allow kaya nila yun?

yes mam, pede po yun, that's what I did before... kung confident sya pa-remark sya...

pag may increase kahit sa isa man dun, automatic balik ang bayad nyo...

ako naman while reviewing eh, narealize ko na di na ko marunong gumawa ng essay. feeling ko dun ako mayayari. good luck talaga sa akin

@kellymacato, hi po...bale all 8 balak niyo? Yes puwede po ire-evaluate ang speaking at writing exam kasi subjective ang assessor at kung .5 lang ang agwat puwedeng puwede po yun...may babayaran lang kayo na fee pero make sure po na mag apply kayo kaagad ng re-evaluation...may certain number of days kasi siya

Dun sa written exam, gawin niyo yung essay in paragraphs para klaro at organized ang flow ng ideas 🙂

@LokiJr hello, ang need nmen is 7 in all bands eh so ung L-8 R-8.5 ung W-6.5 S-6.5 kso last friday lng lumabas results eh ang sabe nila sa BC close na cla for this week til jan na..so how kaya? hayz..

ako kasi, nagcheck ako ng results online sa bahay pa lang... so alam ko na bagsak agad ako... pero confident ako sa speaking ko, kaya nung kinuha ko yung result ko, nagpa-remark agad ako...

nabago yung score ko sa speaking from 6 naging 7... pero yung writing ko the same lang...

pero nirefund yung fee ko kasi may nagchange sa score ko... ito post ko ulit timeline ko...

Oct. 9, 2010 - submitted docs to ACS online (Developer Programmer)

Oct. 10, 2010 - received email confirmation from ACS

Oct. 11, 2010 - send documents to ACS thru UPS - 1,300PHP

Oct. 20, 2010 - Email confirmation of received documents from ACS - 400AUD

Jan. 2, 2011 - apply for Victoria State Sponsorship

Jan. 17, 2011 - ACS positive skills assesment

Feb. 7, 2011 - reschedule IELTS sched from Feb. 17, 2011 to Mar. 5, 2011 due to car accident - 1,000PHP

Feb. 17, 2011 - IELTS rescheduled to Mar. 5, 2011

Mar. 5, 2011 - IELTS Failed!!! L7 R6 W7 S7 - 8,640PHP

May 9, 2011 - IELTS Failed again!!! L7.5 R6.5 W6 S7- 8,640PHP

May 11, 2011 - Victoria State Sponsorhip DENIED!!! Oh men...

Jun 20, 2011 - Enroll at Niners review center for Unlimited Review Package (never surrender) - 5,000PHP

Sep. 3, 2011 - IELTS Failed again!!! L8.5 R7.5 W6.5 S6 - 8,640PHP

Sep. 6, 2011 - Apply for IELTS remark on Speaking and Writing (matatangap ko na magfail ako sa lahat, wag lang sa Speaking nihahhaha) - 7,000PHP

Oct. 28, 2011 - IELTS remark received increase score on Speaking but not on Writing (new score L8.5 R7.5 W6.5 S7) sana matangal na nag-asses saken sa Speaking (joke lang), kung tama ang score na binigay nya naka-apply na sana ako ng 475 sa SA - 7,000PHP Fee refunded

Nov. 23, 2011 - Send documents for ACS revalidation thru UPS (malapit na mag-expire, can't afford any more delays) - 1,300PHP

NOv. 25, 2011 - Email confirmation of received documents from ACS - 200AUD

Dec. 3, 2011 - IELTS PASSED sa wakas Thank GOD!!! L7.5 R8.5 W7 S7.5 - 8,640PHP

Dec. 9. 2011 - ACS revalidation positive skills assesment

Now - nag-aaply sa mga state na pwedeng magsponsor, wish me luck!!!

ang prob nmen ngayon sarado na ang BC next yr na cla mag open.. so di ako sure kng pano apply hubby for re marking. hayz ang hirap nman nito.. kse lalabas na by jan ang assessment nya so need na talag ung IELTS na yan. ilang araw ba dapat mag pa remarking?

@icebreaker1928: Buti pala natanong ko'to, nagrereview pa naman ako ng sa graphs e GT nmn exam ko. hehe. Salamat sa info =) Ung articles sa reading, sunugin ko pag hnd ko masagutan. Wahaha!

@LokiJr: tnx sa info =) oo nga, kahit mukang weird ung pagsasalita sa harap ng salamin, mukang effective naman. nag du dual personality pa nga'ko eh, ung isa examiner kunyari, tas ako rin sasagot, hahaha!

hi guys, sa mga nagexam sa british council, after how many days ba nila i-mail yung result? Will they be sending a softcopy as well? I tried calling them now but it seems that they are already in Christmas break.. X(

you can check it thru online results sir... https://ielts.britishcouncil.org/Results

on their website(http://www.britishcouncil.org/philippines) it says

<blockquote>Our office is CLOSED from 23 December 2011 to 02 January 2012 for the Christmas holidays.</blockquote>

so pede pa makuha ang result at dun sa magpaparemark pede pa till Dec. 23

I already know the result online kelangan ko lang sya iattach sa state sponsorship sa victoria. Ang tagal.din pala ng result ng SS bat ngayon ko lang naisipan magapply grrrr.

@kellymacato: Within 6 weeks from the test date kelangan ka magparemark..You need to fill in an inquiry form, pay the required fees and submit the original TRF.

Medyo familiar ako sa remarking kase nagparemark din ako...hehe

6.5 kase ako sa writing. Mga 6-8 weeks nga lang dapat hintayin para sa result...

Goodluck and sana ma-increase ang score ng hubby mo... 😐

@icebreaker1928 nareceive mo na yung TRF (test report form) ng IELTS mo? As per BC's website they will mail it on the result's release date. Sa batch natin which was December 3, it should have been mailed nung December 16 pa.. But up to now wala pa ko nareceive na mails..

Ganda nang score ni itchan..Galing naman.yun ang kailangan ko para pasok na agad..tsk.tsk.. Nag 9ner ako pero diko na gamit masyado kasi may trabaho kaya self review padin paminsan minsan. L-7.5, R-7, S-7,W-6 badtrip kasi di man lang ako kinabahan during exam at kala ko mataas talaga makukuha ko. Kala ko yung mga exclusive na exam mas mataas..sa BC ako mag exam next time..Sa speaking ko pinay na matanda naka smile sakin at parang tuwang tuwa habang nag uusap kami..yun pala 7 lang ako..tsk..tsk.. Good luck sa mga mag eexam.Kayang kaya yan.. Ako mag retake din ako by Jan.

Release na yung IELTS result ng husband ko, eto na yung sinasabi nyang madali daw na ewan ko kung ano yun madali na sinasabi nya...mamaya pa gabi pagdating bubuksan pero nasa kanya na ang result...nakaka suspense, he he he parang nun high school na ang tawag sa NSAT dati, eh NCEE, tama po ba? pag hindi mo nakuha ang passing score hindi ka pwedeng mag 4yr. course...ooopps! napapaghalata ang age ko, he he he.
