Share some tips on IELTS

@dreambig, ahahaha sobrang mainit ang ulo after sa exams si wifey... Paano ba kasi, sobrang kulang daw sa time!

She utilized the free online review ng British Council SG - and konting research for academic reading sample exams. All these, she practice every other day for at least 1 hours. She did this over a span of more than a month. Sometimes sa gabi and sometime at dawn. 🙂

Goodluck to you!! Focus on your weakness and do practice...

Naku kung practice lang, sobra na ata ako, every night nagsasagot ako reading practice set. Skills na ata talaga ang reading 🙁

@dreambig hi dreambig! i just took the acad exam last Sat.. sobra sa haba ang mga passages and time is the greatest enemy when it comes sa acad reading tlga. When it comes to answering, try not to focus too much on the first passages - ako kc dahil medyo gusto ko i-sure mga sagot ko sa 1st 2 passages, so bawas ang tym na natira ko for the final passage and i realized mas madadali sagutan ang mga questions sa last passage. so see to it tlga na mapagkasya ang time till the last questions. I had no time to review na, sakto lang sa "pens up" ni invigilator 🙂

God is good! sana okay pa rin ang results 🙂

@aeyo10 Exactly! Ang nangyari skin I focus too long sa reading passage 1&2 then 15 mins ntira for passage 3. Ayun nataranta na ko, wala na pumapasok sa utak ko sa last passage. Hinulaan ko na tlg mga sagot dun. 🙁 Nkakataranta pa lalo pag announce nila time remaining, distracting tlg.

Anyway, best of luck! balitaan mo kmi. Sobrang kainip din mag intay result.

@dreambig, pareho tayo ng naging pakiramdam.. distracting ang announce sila ng announce ng time when for our case there's a big timer in front namn to look at from time to time if you want to. i practiced on long passages pero natatawa ako na di hamak na mas mahahaba pa ang nasa actual test. Well we can only hope for the best! 🙂 sa 26 pa results namin.

Ginawa ko nung IELTS exam ko nagdala ako ng watch na may lap time. Tapos binigyan ko sarili ko ng siguro 5 to 10 minutes per passage. Pagkatapos ng 10 minutes finished or not finished dederetso na ako sa susunod na tanong 🙂

I did the same, meron ako digital watch na may Lap Timer tapos eto talaga ginamit ko nung nagrereview din.
