@hannahf I lodged mine ng April 1. Though di naman ako nagmamadali talaga na makaalis, kaso minsan kasi napapaisip ako bakit yung ibang friends ko ang bilis lang, hehe, nwei you're right. let's just keep ourselves busy and hope for the best.

hi, April 1 din ako nag lodge ng application ko and wala pa din ako CO. I guess marami talaga sila applicant ngayon kaya tumatagal yung processing compared sa nga nauna nang nag apply.. pero sana wala problem sa application natin..

Mas matagal nga ngayon compared sa previous batches i know of. Took me about 4 months. 🙂

Hi @mmlazarte and @hannahf! Magkakalapit lang pala ng date of lodgement. I lodged mine April 1. Hintay hintay lang, malapit na rin siguro tayo. 🙂

Visa 476 is for UP Engineering graduates..

but you should lodge your application within 2 years from your graduation date..

Nga pala, yung 2 years naman is from date of grad di ba? So if for example graduation mo is april 17, 2011, pwede ka pa mag lodge ng app until april 16, 2013? Hehe.. Yung kakilala ko kasi kinakabahan

I am new on this site.

I am a licensed civil engineer and worked in Saudi Arabia in a consulting office for 14 years as structural designer. I am here in the Phils and working in a Korean Contractor as structural engineer and our current project is the Philippine Area, biggest covered dome with 55,000 seating capacity.

Gusto kong mag try sa Australia. In demand po ba ang civil engr as far as my experience is concern? May nag suggest to look for sponsors with 457 visa.

Pwede ba akong mag apply as draftsman since well versed ako sa autocadd?

Advantage po ba if may mga relatives ako sa australia?

Hoping that anyone can shed some light regarding my inquiries.

@nelson I will attempt to answer your queries:

Am not sure of the current status of civil engineering in Australia, but with work experience like that I'm sure you will have no problem finding employment.
On the basis of the 457 visa, it won't matter whether you have relatives in Australia or not as they are not going to be the ones to sponsor you.
I suggest you try online job hunting for the position that you want, then send these companies your expression of interest (usually in the form of a cover letter) and CV. You should indicate that you wish to be sponsored via the 457 visa. Without sponsorship, you will not be eligible for 457.

you have several options:

a) apply directly as PR (visa 190/189/489) -(ikaw magbayad ng application fee, pero sure na kung papasa ka assessment/ielts/medicals/police clearance at total EOI 60pts atleast)

b) look for employer sponsorship visa 457 -(tsambahan/swerte swerte lang)

for PR application, marami na rin png mga members dito na CE ang succesfull nagka PR visa grant..

Hello guys,

I'm new here sa forum! I have already lodged my application (visa 476) last March 11. My CO just emailed me last June 14 requesting for Medical and Form 80. I just completed the requirements last July 4 (uploaded the e-medical). Until now, my CO i not yet replying.

Normally, kaano ang tinatagal para magrant na yun visa after completing all the requirements?

@j_yiz May friend ako na two months pa ulit naghintay after being contacted by her CO. I think sa two months na 'yun nag-complete pa siya ng requirements, just like you.

Inupload mo 'yung Medicals mo? Hindi ba dapat 'yung panel physician 'yung gagawa non?

@sam_neville : hindi ako yung nag-upload. Tinawagan ko lang yung clinic (Nationwide) asking if they have already uploaded the medical exam results. Sumagot naman na naupliad na raw nila. Nakita ko rin dun sa check progress na Health exams finalised pero yung sa document checklist ko ay REQUESTED pa rin ang nakalagay.

Kung 2 months nga including completing the reqts, more or less sa august pa magrereply ang CO ko at hopefully, magrant na ang visa..
