tama si @bachuhay... here is the process..

submit your EOI (of course once you have your IELTS & assessment)
if you will apply for Visa190, apply for SS for that state, this is a separate process
pag na-approved na ang SS mo, State will invite you thru skillselect. They will need your EOI reference number..

meron namang rare cases, for in-demand jobs, pag nakita ng State ang EOI mo,

the State can directly invite you to apply for SS.. pero yun nga bihira lang yun..

mas effective pa rin talga ang mag-apply ka ng SS separately..

July pa ako magtake ng ielts para malaman ko narin yong changes sa diac. Hehe after makakuha ako ng 7 all sa ielts maglagay na ako ng timeline hehe.. sa ielts lang talaga matatagalan. Im still considering canberra kasi lapit lang din sa nsw sa mga relatives ko pero mas prefer ko siguro WA para maiba naman. ^^

Changes to State sponsorship

6 June 2013

From 1 July 2013 the process for State sponsorship will be changing and the Department of Training and Workforce Development will no longer accept direct applications.

The new process will be as follows:

1 Submit an expression of interest to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship via the SkillSelect database.

2 The Department selects applicants from SkillSelect and offers an invitation to apply for State sponsorship.

3 If invited to apply, you will be given a unique identifier to submit an application to the Department of Training and Workforce Development.

To be considered for State sponsorship you must meet the current 2012-13 criteria for State sponsorship which is available on the How to apply for State sponsorship page.

It is anticipated that a new criteria will be implemented on 1 October 2013.

Pwede kaya mag.apply muna ako sa WA ngayon tapos while magretake ako ng ielts since 6 in each category naman ang required nila sa ielts. Kailangan ko kasi mag 7 all for diac application. Pwede kaya ang idea nato?

Kung invited kana sa wa state to apply may expiration din ba invitation nila?

ang akala ko po ok lang mag apply ng SS basta basta may 6 s IELTS like sa WA n 6 ang required for each band???? kahit hindi 55?

@bachuchay @strader - you can only apply:

a) for visa 190- if you have 55pts, once SS is approved you will get additional 5 pts

b) Visa 489- if you have 50 pts, once SS is approved you will get additional 10pts

if you see the statement from WA website;

To apply for a Skilled Sponsored Visa you require sponsorship from a state or territory, such as the Government of Western Australia. All sponsorship applicants must meet the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) criteria set for General Skilled Migration .

To apply for State Sponsorship from Western Australia you will need the following:

to have submitted an Expression of Interest in SkillSelect with Department of Immigration and Citizenship and acquired an EOI number;

they will need your EOI number, so pag nacheck nila na ang EOI pts mo is not enough, they wont be able to invite you for a visa application..

technically yes, you can apply kahit kulang pa ang points mo, you have i think 30 or 60 days to accept the approved SS application... but what would say pag sinabi nila na kulang ang points mo kahit i-approved nila ang SS mo..

you can take the risk.. 😉

We just apply for WA SS (200aud)...we will wait for 30 days as per website, hopefully within 30 days lng pr di na umabot sa mga bagong changes [-O<
