Mga kabayan... Dumating ho ako dito sa Perth last January 19, 2014. Mechanical/Piping Engineer ho ako... Ask ko lang ho sana kung may alam kayong pwedeng aplayan kahit temporary or casual... Medyo wala kasi akong mahanap... madami namang vacancy sa labouring industry kaso daming ticket ang hinahanap... saka naghahanap ng local experience... Nakakuha na nga ako ng white card.. Kaso di naman nakatulong.. Thank you..

did you enquire with EA about your case at sinabi nila na 2wks lang? kailangan mo ba magsubmit ng mga new documents ulit or can they use your old docs?</blockquote>

My agent did all the coordination w/ EA and they said the assessment can be done w/n 2 weeks. No need to submit any other documents but the filled out application form. I guess they did not require additional documents since the new occupation for assessment is very similar with my previous one, and can be assessed using my old docs.</blockquote>

Yup mabilis lang tlga bro, basta similar dun sa previous nominated occupation. Same docs ang ginamit ng EA. Actually within a week nga lang dumating na result. Yun nga lang additional 600. Awts!</blockquote>

hello Sirs,

newbie here in the forum, i am an electrical engr. working in the elv/security systems field in the mid east for 8 years.

i'm planning of applying a student visa,subclass 173, masters in engineering technology.

My question is that is there a demand or enough job opportunities in the elv field in melbourne while studying and after graduation? and will this course help me in my future goal to have an rp?

Hi sa lahat.

I am a mechanical engineer here in the philippines. and in 1 week time lilipad nako jan papuntang melbourne. i got secondary 457 visa sponsorship. in short, additional. building maintenance ang linya ko dito sa pinas for almost 5 years handling ac system and refrigeration system both centralised. ask ko lang kung may chance na makakita ako ng same line ng trabaho ko dito, jan sa melbourne? kht mga small supermarkets kaya.

QS Civil ... around $100 to 150 thousand... dami QS Civil dito.. mga bigatin... hehehehe... I met a few kababayans (QS Civil) here in Sydney and they are very helpfull in sending me job ads that they encounter...

Hello fellow engineers. I have a concern regarding the assessing body in Australia. I am a mechanical engineer, however, my experience is in facility management and operations-maintenance of buildings. According sa mga nabasa ko sa immigration website, EA ang ang nag-aassess for mechanical engineers and Vetassess naman for facility manager. Do you have any idea which way dapat? Thanks!

@cen28 - choose your occupation code carefully..

which one will give you a higher chance positive assessment
which one has higher occupation limit/slots
which one is in SOL/CSOL and/or State list.. your visa type will depend on this..

same tau. ME din ako. at building maintenance din ang job ko sa Phils for over 5yrs. Nagwork nako sa mga supermarkets and dept stores. and even sa mga malls. nagwork din ako sa sm megamall as duty officer handling only air conditioning system pero BMS. I can say that un ung tingin kong biggest a/c facility sa pilipinas and probably sa buong mundo.

nandito nako sa melbourne, sa EA ako nagpa-assess at up until now wla pang results, may hiningi lang silang additional docs.

nag-pm ako sau tsong, read mo neh.

@cen28 hi na settle na ba to? hmm, putting in my 5 cents: sa facility management naman merong relevant Mechanical Engg? I emailed Vetassess kase in my case, bachelors ko Chemical but yung field or line of work ko is closely related to Envi Eng so Envi Engr ang ninominate ko, under EA na yun. But still, i received notice of shortcoming because yung bachelors degree units ko does not qualify an equivalent of Environmental Engr graduate of Australia; along with the your career episodes, malaking weight din kase yung TOR or the units that you have taken in college, so i would suggest Mechanical as your nominated, then sa EA magpa assess... ;-)

Pwede ba matanong kung ano ung mga shortcomings na cnb mo nung nagpaEA assess ka as enviro engr and yet licensed chem engr ka?

I hav a fren kc ngaun n ngppursue of going here and totally hnd related ung lisensya nya sa ipapa-assess nyang occupation. Licensed ECE sya pero as project builder ang ipapaassess nyang occupation. Nalinya kasi sya sa construction sa maynilad. Civil works in short. Kaya hindi konek tlga. Mahihirapan ba sya sa EA nyan?

Gusto ko lang sya tulungan.
