Plano ko po na sa EA mgpa-assess as Civil Engineer dahil 5 years(4 Dubai + 1 pinas) naman po ako as Civil eng, compare sa QS na 1 year pa lang and Degree and prc ko Civil eng din,wala pa ako Certificate sa QS,sa trabaho ko pa lng ngaun.san po makikita occupational ceiling? please kung mai alam po kau na link..

@Captain_A kung may relative ka sa australia mas ok makipagsapalaran kase at least they could help you with the accomodation. in terms of jobs.. check mo sa seek.com.au kung meron jobs dun na pwede ka applyan. that would give you an idea pano market ng skill mo.. filter mo din search mo according ot which place you intend to live..

BTW, feeling ko mas madaming job opportunities sa perth kase mas onti tao

hi.. guys, eto po ang definition ng CE at structural engr based sa EA..

here's my concern,

structural engineer po ako,. wala po sya dun sa occupation list ng WA.. civil engineer lang.. i'd like to choose WA kasi andun tita ko who can assist me.. Structural engg is a discipline of CE. pero kasi magkaiba sila number, 233211 yung Civil engr.. 233214 nmn yung Structural engr.. so parang nalito ako.. 233211 lang yung nakalist sa list sa WA site.. di ko sure if general term lang yung occupation na CIVIL ENGR na nasa list ( meaning included na yung ibang discipline like structural, transport, hydraulic etc).. sa CSOL at SOL kasi nakahiwalay siya.. I'm on the process na din kasi sa EA assessment Career episodes writing. TIA

ang tanung ko lang po ay iisa lng bo ba yung dalawa.. general term lng ang CE??

@Captain_A , kung ano yung work experience mo yun ang ang inonominate ng EA na occupation mo. So malamang structural Engineer. Kung CE tlga gusto mo you have to prove it based on your work experience. Kase for like us Industrial Engineer pdeng Industrial Engineer or Production Engineer. Pag ang isang IE ay sa production ang work experiences sa Production Engineer sya inonominate pero kung ang isang IE ay more process improvement, analytics, supplychain sa IE sya pasok.

Kasi kailangan match ang job description mo, sa CDR, at sa assessment na aaplyan mo..

a) yes.. ang state sponsorship is specific sa nominated occupation (ANZSCO Code)... nag try ko mismo ang example mo.. hehe i'm assessed as IE.. tapos sinabi ko sa application ko sa State Sponsorship na i can demonstrate the skills based sa description ng Prod Engr... ang reply hindi daw pwede...

b) Now, there is what they call "OFF-LIST" nomination... meaning kahit wala sa list ng State SOL ang occupation mo, they can still nominate you... provided you satisfy their "OTHER" requirements... may quota lang ang off-list nomination at kadalasan sa open sya at the start of the program year (July 2012)..

nag try din ako nito last May 2012.. unfortunately puno na daw ang off-list quota... at sabi mag try daw ako pag nag open na ngayong July 2012... hindi ko na hinintay, kaya nagapply na ako ng Independent 175..

ayan nasagot na pla ni @lock_code2004 , tama sya dun. kaya kung ang work experiences mo is as structural engineer for sure yun ang inonominate ng engineers australia. Icheck mo sa site ng DIAC yung job description ng structural and civil engineer then review and compare it.

Ang haba ng explanation ni @lock_code2004. Pwede Na talaga mag migration agent! 😃 @Captain_A: broad Kasi ang CE field, kaya naintindihan Ko concern mo. Eto suggestion Ko seio, A) pwede ka magtanong sa EA email mo sila regarding sa concern mo. Or B) pwede ka mag take ng risk, nominate mo civil eng, parang may nabasa ako d2 Na may instance Na pwedeng sila (EA) ang magsabi seio Kung Saan ka talaga suitable. of course un ang risk that you have to take kse pwedeng Ganon ang mangyari or pwede ka nila I-deny. Sana nakatulong!

I suggest check the job code description... and also what your cert of employment job description will look like..

only then, malalaman mo kung anu ang pwede mo inominate for assessment...

EA will contact you naman if they think of another job closer to your skill/degree..

Hello All.

I have open work visa in New zealand by partnership. my wife is a resident here.

I applied in Perth OZ and they called me yesterday that they will hire me (after 2 phone interviews). They told me they will call me back to instruct me regarding the visa application.

they told me that they want me to work as soon as possible and will possibly use the subclass 417 holiday working visa then after 3 months we will use the subclass 457.

But when i looked at the subclass 417 philippine passport holders are not eligible to use it.

So the best way is to use 457 subclass. I will tell that when they call me possibly tomorrow.

one requirement is IELTS or having studied for 5 consecutive years in a school where english is used as official language for instruction and examination. so in my case I have certificate from my university in MSU-IIT for english medium of instruction. so i dont need ielts anymore.

Then one concern is I am a BS-physics grad but i have 8 years experience as computer aided engineering. I was FEA engineer in cebu for 8 years. so will i be able to get a pass in assessment from EA as mechanical engineer? thank you very much.

the company still havent discussed with me regarding the compensation package. they will probably in the next call coz i emailed them to inform me about the compensation.
