Yup 20 days anual leave, public holidays pa(depende ito sa state), 10 days sick/personal/carer's leave. Standard ito but other company offer more than this.
May super annuation din dito. Compulsary sya. Meaning 9% ng total earning mo ay sinesave mg government.They invest it. kaya mucho mucho ka pagtanda mo. ha ha ha. This is something na you can discuss sa employer as a salary package. OK nga sya kasi may savings tayo pag tanda natin kahit wala tayong naitatabi sa bangko. :-)
Madali lang magpamember sa EA. Basta na assess ka na nila, you are qualified as professional member. You have to pay around less than $500 per year. Sa case ko company ang nagbabayad. Sa mga katulad natin na Immigrant, I think it's worth being a member kasi kelangan madagdagan ang qualififcation natin.Pero sa mga local, they find it a waste of money.
Dito sa Victoria mas importante ang maging Building Practitioner. Sa ibang state yata another assessment uli. But this qualification is more benificial than being EA makakapirma tayo ng Certification(Certifying your design).Once na Registered Building Practitioner ka, everything that you are doing is covered by the Insurance.Though I am a registered building practitioner, minimaintain ko pa rin membership for EA. palamuti rin sa CV ito. Kasi kung ako amg mag-aassess ng applicant at alam kong member ng EA, I will give them an edge.
A lot of things to share...Always remember na kahit mag struggle kayo dito sa una, if you have a concrete experience back home, you will find a good job later own. Sometimes knowledge is not enough.importante ang character at attitude...coming from the one older than you. :-)
