a) COST - if you are saying mahal ang NVE, would it cost you the same amount to take a new course?.. un nga lang pag student visa na kayo, pwde kayo sponsor ng relatives nyo and you can work part time in australia..

b) TIME consideration - pag student visa, mas mabilis n agad alis, compared sa time na kailangan for vet skills assessment..

c) if you choose to enroll vet related course in australia, will you be required to take NVE again, or hindi na dahil australian school na kayo graduate?

looking at all these factors, mukhang mas okay na route ang student visa...

with regards sa NVE, aside from cost (bout 1Mphp exam pa lang) wala pa kasing success stories from Philippine applicants and highly discouraged by alumni. If I would take the DVM course in Australia, I need to complete the 5years full term (plus full payment) para hindi na mag-NVE. kung meron mang ma-ccredit from previous course, need pa din bayaran ng buo. anlupit talaga.

if we will have student visa, would it be just a way to find a working permit sponsor or it could be recognized para maging SOL after getting a diploma? for example, kapag ba kumuha ako ng TAFE 2yrs diploma of permaculture pwede na sya bilang SOL for agricultural consultant? pano ba ang ginagawa usually ng mga bearer ng student visa para maging PR?

@carlaliza, nasubukan niyo na po ba yung state sponsorship? Hindi na masyadong recommended yung Student Visa route (lalo na kung PR visa at trabaho talaga habol niyo) kasi hinihigpitan lalo ng Australia yun. After Student Visa, kailangan niyo ng Bridging Visa para maging permanent resident kaya madugo siya...baka naman may state na naghahanap ng migrants na may skillset tulad ng sa inyo ng mister niyo 🙂

tama po kayo lokijy..maraming student visa dito na nag sisisi dahil sa mahirap bale nadala s amatamis na salita ng mga agency nila kesyo daw pwede mag work ng 20hrs..eh ang 20 hrs ba yan pwede ba yan mkabayad ng tuition baka nga sa bahal plang pa,mbayad yan...i'm not discouraging yoou sa student visa kung may milyones ka then why not? pero kung limitado pera mo,wag nlang kasi what if pag graduate mo wala na sa sol? anong gagawin mo..better look for experience in automotive kasi in demand yan dito at malay mo after sa experience mo luluiwag nman ang immigration nila, hindi ko sinasabi na ganyan pero why gagasto ng milyon kung may ibang paraan na "SAFE" ...

Good day po sa lahat 🙂 newbie po ako here I just want to know if in-demand po ba na work dyan sa Oz ang RN na geriatric nursing ang specialization? plan ko po kasi na magtry ng luck ko dyan if ever, salamat po sa makakasagot.

Hi po @zaldypia25, hindi po ako sigurado sa specialty niyo pero in demand ang nurses sa Australia at kahit wala sa listahan yung field ninyo, puwede kayo mag apply sa "Registered Nurse NEC" which means all others hehe...Yun nga lang, pagdating niyo dun kailangan niyo rin mag-aral or magpa-accredit uli pero at least nasa Australia na kayo 🙂

Reply to @divy: Hi welcome to PinoyAu.. First indicator is to look at the SOL or SKilled Occupation List (new list effective Jul 1 2012).

Hello po sa lahat. Gaano po kalaki ang possibility na ma sponsor ng company pag nag work na sa australia? Im going to lodge my student visa application by august and kasama ko po hubby ko who is a mining engineer by profession. He's been offered jobs there but unfortunately the companies requires him to have a visa or that he's in australia already. Konti na lang po mga companies na nag sponsor ng off shore applicants.Thank you po.

If I remember correctly puwede magfull time ang partner kung student visa yung isa...so posible naman po yan. Nasa employer ultimately kung bibigyan siya ng PR visa or magiging contractual lang siya...sana PR! hehe

To my dear kababayan, please note that "occupation on demand list" and "recognized uni degree" are only good for migration purposes and would not guarantee you a job. I have the same wrong notion, pagdating dto e local experience hanap nila. I have signed up with almost all headhunters here in syd. My professional license, together with my 15+years work experiences, all thrown out to the rubbish bin... One have to start from the bottom, no problem with that sana.. E kaso, back to the same question. "Local experience" issue.

Do ensure you have at least 3 months back up funds when you move here.

Reply to @Sushigurl: that's weird. First Australia says they need more skilled workers, tapos in the end gusto rin lang nilang maghire ng may local experience - but in the first place kaya sila nagpoprovide ng mga occupation lists, kasi may shortage at di sila makahanap ng locals?
