Saka sigurado mas pipiliin pa rin ng ibang employers dumaan sa agencies kasi at least hindi matrabaho sa kanila

so pwede pa rin magrecruit directly ang mga companies even outside of EOI SkillSelect..

I guess the good thing about SkillSelect is that employers and employees have another way to "meet" hehe...Pero dahil extra step ang SS, mas gugustuhin ng employers pa rin yung direct hire tingin ko 🙂

Mukhang tumaas ang allocation despite of skillselect, so I guess hindi naman dahil gustong maghigpit ng AU sa number ng immigrants ang pagintroduce sa skillselect, but rather para magkaron lang sila ng "quality control" siguro sa mga pumapasok sa AU...

i think you're right Itchan. if you'll look at business perspective. negative impact on sales if they limit people from applying 175 visa. bawas revenue yun.

@arlene5781 - yes visa 175 will be affected. kahit complete na yung mga document para sa lodging ng visa di pa rin po pwede maglodge ng application until mapili sa "skill select". unlike today po, bsta complete na yung mga document pwede na maglodge.

Question po ulit: What does "Professional Year Completion, for a period of at least 12 months in the four year period immediately before the day on which the inivitation was issued" means? Is this related to the work experience din?

Yung professional year dapat work related experience sa nominated occupation mo 🙂

The professional year must have been undertaken for a period of at least 12 months in the 48 months immediately before applying and be in either:

the applicant’s nominated skilled occupation OR

a closely related skilled occupation.

Points can only be awarded for Professional Year courses that have been specified by the minister.

Hi All,

I am pleased to see everyone being up to date with the 1 July changes. For those concerned with retaking the IELTS, if its any consolation, DIAC are in the process of changing the validity period from 2 years to 3 years.

I went to the Skills Select seminar last week and it seems that this new program will nevertheless have some "teething" problems as with any new programs being implemented. However, they seem to be trying their best to address any issues raised by migration agents to be able to better service their clients.

It should be noted that they are still addressing the issue on what to do if applicants are relying on the extra points for state sponsorship to obtain the pass mark. The issue is you are unable to submit an EOI unless you hit the pass mark. But then you have to submit an EOI to be selected by State Sponsor. Catch 22

Hi, no firm date yet for the release of the new SOL but it will be available by the time skills select is implemented as skills select will include the SOL and the CSOL (consolidated SOL)
