<b>Responsibilities include but not limited to: </b>
· Cultivate soil, sow crops and control weeds by slashing, rotary hoeing or chemical spraying.
· Clean and sterilise farm equipment.
· Plant ground crops between rows of trees and bushes to control weeds and soil temperatures.
· Maintain and repair farm buildings, bores, fences, machinery, troughs, windmills and other equipment.
· Clear away animal waste and hose out operational areas.
· Perform other tasks involved with the breeding and raising of livestock, such as shearing, dipping, branding, crutching, gelding, marking and assisting with artificial insemination.
<b>Who are eligible? </b>
To be considered as eligible, nominees must provide evidence that they have personal attributes and the employment and/or educational background relevant to the nominated occupation.
<b>Major requirements: </b>
· Must be a graduate of BS Agriculture or related field
· Minimum 1 year experience in the field, for the past 24 Months (Period: June 2012 – July 2014)
· Be able to provide Certificate of Employment or Proof that they have worked as a Farmer
· Have sufficient knowledge of the English language to undertake the Occupational Traineeship Program
