How did you bring in your money to OZ?

Hello may taga-UAE po ba dito na-try na mag-open ng AUS bank account. Also can you please share how did you transfer your money from UAE bank account. Is it directly from your bank account or nag-send kayo through exchange from Dirhams to AUD?

@IslanderndCity Hello po. May maximum amount po ba na pwede ipadala sa pay2home? may bank acct na po kmi sa NAB and na validate na. Kaso po nun nag inquire ako sa OCBC, may transfer fee sila na naka base sa amount na itatransfer.

@koykoy ako din ocbc kaya di ko na itinuliy magtransfer.. Since di naman aabot sa 10k aud na vash dadalhin ko, i handcarry ko na lang and deposit sa oz na lang agad..

Sa experience namin sa NAB, we just registered for migrant banking online tpos nung nag initial entry kmi eh pina validate nmin un account--nagpunta kmi sa banko at prinesent un mga docs like passport, visa grant letter. Not sure if ganun din process sa ANZ. Kaso lng, nadelay c NAB sa pag issue ng atm card. So pagdating nmin this july, dun pa lng din nmin nakuha un atm and dun lng nagsimula mag transfer. We brought cash with us na lng pra may pang gastos habang hndi pa natatransfer un funds.

@koykoy hello thanks for the reply 🙂 baka sa nab na lang kame magopen though pareho naman sila nagooffer ng migrant banking. Sa nab kasi i found out sa google they don't charge the account for monthly fees unlike sa anz after a year you have to make monthly deposits of 2k para no charges 🙂

after reading the whole thread, eto ang mga viable for me na wire transfer options from pinas to aussie (assuming i have BPI and NAB):

BPI to NAB (direct)
BPI to HiFX to NAB
BPI to Xoom (?) to NAB
BPI to iRemit to NAB

i have to study though which has the

a) best PHP to AUD conversion fees

b) lesser charges when depositing

c) lesser charges when NAB receives the deposit

actually, i already have AUD (bought with PHP on different converion rates across months) at hand so for such case i'm to study if BPI, HiFX, Xoom, iRemit can send it so as not to incur anymore PHP to AUD conversion fees.

any more inputs from the considerations above?

@kimmy17 - Wala na ako sa QMS at hindi rin related sa ANZSCO code ko yung current job ko. I landed a job as an Inside Sales Officer pero in the same electronics industry pa rin naman. Actually, hindi naman issue kung mapadpad ka sa ibang work/field once you've been granted a visa. Iyan din yung sinabi ng immigration officer nung umattend ako ng orientation seminar dito sa Adelaide. Ang importante ay makakuha ka ng long term visa (with work rights) to Australia, the rest is up to you once you're here. Good luck on your application! Cheers!

@kimmy17 - Not necessarily, title lang naman yun. In fact, hindi nga alam ng mga employer at hindi issue/concern ng mga employer kung ano ANZSCO code mo. Ang mas importante sa kanila eh kung may legal rights/visa ka to work and stay in Australia.
