Tama. Kung wla pdn swerte, icontinue mo lng pagaapply. At the same time try mo mghanap ng odd job. Para may xtra income ka. Mind u apakahirap makakita ng trabahong tatanggap satin dito. Pero hwag kang susuko.

mga ka Engineer, tanong ko lang kung in demand ngayon ang telecom profession especially sa NSW. On-process yung application ko ng PR pero syempre iniisip ko na kung paano strategy ko sa paghahanap ng work na related sa current profession ko.

I started applying again ng ngstart tong year nato. Unfortunately, i stopped. Kasi nalipat ako ng ibang odd job at naging super bc. And then i realised just this month na hindi ko tlga gusto dito sa OZ.

Kaya eto pinayagan nako ng partner ko na umuwi ng pinas. I'll jst finish na lang this yr para makaipon ng konti bago umuwi this dec.

Mind u, apakahirap maghanap ng related technical job here. Pero makakakuha ka din. Tiis lang tlga. And polish ur skill in speaking their language. Dito basta nakakapagsalita ka ng english, matalino kana. Then kung hindi ull be 1 of stupid asian.

hi sa lahat.. it appears to me that EA Assessment is solely for migration purpose. I need advise for my situation. I am a chemical/process engineer in oil and gas industry and wanting to shift to hse. We applied for 189 visa this May. Secondary applicant lang po ako and only my husband had his skills assessed by EA primarily for migration purpose. Quite advance pero gusto ko kasi magprepare before going there. Question ko po is, what can I do para mas magka chance to work as engineer in Oz? Kailangan ko pa bang dumaan sa EA? or would it be advisable kumuha na ako ng IOSH habang nasa pinas kc international certificate naman un. In addition kasi, I stopped working for two years. However, I was involved in the Inpex project which is in Australia.

@ChE017 based on exp and mga information from other hse practitioners, medyo kailangn mo ng knowledge ng mga australian regualtions.. Very strict sila dun.

So i would suggest, get some certifications.. Before you can really practice hse here in aussie..

May malaking office ang inpex sa perth, wa.. At alam ko marami sila projects..

@ChE017 yep...u can always try ur luck in applying sa chevron or kahit anong oil and gas company dito sa Australia...just make sure na Oz format ang CV mo at pray hard! bihira ang natatangap or probably wala pa nga yata...pero malay mo e makuha ka nila kahit hinde pa tapos ang PR visa mo... :-)

if you really want to work as an engineer here in Oz, aral ka ulet ng chartered engineering, something like that...and i think e dadaan ka ng EA membership status if ever mag pursue ka ng pagaaral ng engineering dito (parang masteral yata un) and take note, magaapply ka thru EA website ng membership, hinde ung assessment na makukuha natin from EA dahil for visa processing purposes lang un...it costs around 650 AUD yata ung EA membership...check mo na lang sa website nila... :-)

regarding naman for being a HSE practitioner dito sa Oz, sobrang higpit nila..need mo ng qualification from Oz mismo para makapagpractice ka ng HSE dito sa Oz...if may NEBOSH ka na mas okay..plus need mo rin ng BOSIET at HUET, which i think e prerequisite to work sa offshore or oil gas... :-)

so if ever magtratraining ka pa lang ng mga sinabi ko, make sure na accredited siya dito sa Oz para naman hinde sayang ung training mo...

then may isa pang option, thru RPL naman, Recognition of Prior Learning...meaning e magpapa-assess ka sa isang RTO (registered Training Officer?!), this process naman e idedemonstrate mo sa RTO ung working experience mo para makakuha ka ng certain "Tickets" or "Certifications", either Cert III or Cert IV...this costs around 2500 AUD, depende sa certificate na ipapakuha sayo ng RTO...take note na need rin ng RTO ng mga authenticated certificate ng prior learnings/experience mo, including contactable references mo from previous employer mo just to prove na nagwork ka or may working experience/knowledge ka in your field...

complicated noh?! hehe...anyways, as ive said, try mo magapply apply na agad kahit on-going pa lang ung PR visa mo, imention mo na lang sa cover letter mo yan...i think thats the easiest way...or luckiest way to work as an engineer here in Oz...

on a final note, mahigpit ang oz pagdating sa mga qualifications kase nga may certain legislations silang pinapatupad na need ng mga company to comply or else e mamumultahan ang certain companies na hinde nasunod dito...simple example is hinde porke marunong mag-forklift ang isang employee e pwede na siyang maging forklift operator...need pa rin ng forklift ticket bago siya maging qualified forklift operator... :-)

@dhey_almighty thanks sa info... un nga po sinesearch ko kung anong training pwede ko kunin na recognized jan sa Oz. As of now kc, iosh plang tingin kong pwede ko itake kso prang d nmn recognized jan. ung nebosh kc prang pang may experience na.parang bumabagsak ulit aq sa EA.hehe...

@lock_code2004 so mas ok kung sa oz nko kumuha ng certificate? iniisip ko kc kumuha ng iosh kc international nmn un. other option ko is find a job here in the philippines pra madugtungan carrer ko. 2 yrs na kasi ako nd ngwowork but i would like to go back either as hse or project. previous process engr po aq

I am working now here sa au, at wala naman hinanap na EA membership..

I think kailangn lang yan if you will work in a field requiring license.. Eg a practicing civil engr..

@ChE017 karamihan pa rin ng oil and gas proj dito eh medyo malayo sa kabihasnan... :-) i am frm oil and gas.... sa instrumentation naman ako but since i got here i moved to a different career kasi hindi na appealling ang oil gas to me. Ayoko ng malayo sa kabihasnan. I can only speak frm

My experience pero site work talaga ang o&g dito....karamihan trades work.....and most likely fifo pa rin... As far as qualifications are concerned, you can slowly build that when you get here. Dont take them now as it might be no yse in the end.. but first thing muna is you need to get into the industry. Maliit lng masyado ang network ng oil and gas industry dito. These people move interstate a lot kasi panay FIFO sila. It is a challenge to penetrate the industry but it is achievable. I suspect epc ka galing???? Dont expect same level of job here kasi most epcs have their engrng done in their global offices. Even my previous o&g company sales and service engineering lng nandito.

Marami naman small company dito who do small projs for major o&g companies. You can check them out. From thereyou can slowly build your network then pasukin mo na ang malalakng co. All the best
