hello guys need help. Same ako kay mikenbelle ng question.

I applied through IDP Cebu.

Submitted my requirements except IELTS on Oct 23.
Took the IELTS Exam of Oct 24
IELTS results on Nov 6
Went to IDP on Nov 9 to submit IELTS score and follow up for offer letter
My counsellor did not forgot to forward my requirements last Oct 23 and will send with IELTS instead on Nov 9.
Called and emailed my counsellor on Nov 15 and Nov 20 to follow up.
Counselor did not reply to my email at all. twice
Called to follow up and confirm if requirements were submitted. Counselor would respond "Yes. I think so. Will just contact you through email."

I am a bit anxious if na forward na ba talaga or not. By now, I'm expecting an offer letter from uni but wala pa rin.

Scheduled for medical on Saturday. All visa reqts. are ready na. Just waiting for offer letter.

I'm not sure if efficient ba talaga yung counselor ko.

Planning to start program on Feb 2016. Maabutan ko kaya?

Ask ko lang sana, complete na requirements ko including my medical at naiforward ko na sa idp, sabi ng idp makati next week (wednesday) pa nila ila-lodge ung student visa application ko. Yung commencement date ng uni e feb 1 2016, aabot kaya un?

SVP po ba yung application mo? If yes, aabot most definitely. Otherwise, may potential na hindi, pero I would say aabot pa rin. Good luck!

Lol I love your counselors' response "Yes, I think so." What you can do is to call the uni and make a follow up on your application para malaman mo kung nasa system na yung name mo. Good luck po!

@fern ok, everyday na kami mag-follow up.. hahahah :-) both school ng IDP, hehehe pero feb 22, 2016 pa naman start sa Charles Sturt Uni, so feeling namin aabot siya talaga.. nga pala pag dating po ba namin dyan pwede na kami mag-apply for PR? parang may nabasa me dito sa forum if 2 years ang duration ng studies qualified siya for PR? tama po ba yun? thanks in advance....

@mikenbelle you can apply for pr as long as you satisfy the dibp points test requirement.. you can apply for visa 189 or 190. check mo yung dibp website and read on through the requirements ng PR visa.. good luck.. 🙂>-

Based on past experiences ng mga members po dito, oo. The CO would usually give the applicant a call pag may details about the application na hindi masyadong convincing (e.g. GTE requirement, de-facto, finances, etc). Good luck!

@se29m pwede po kami mag-apply pag andun n po kami sa australia? kasi balak po namin mag- student visa muna ang asawa ko para maka-alis po kami agad... hehehe... pwde po bang dun n kami sa aussie mag-apply for PR habang student visa holder ang husband ko?

nga po pala,, nag-reply po sa IDP yung school, they are asking for additional financial documents,,, since yung father in law ko ang mag-support sa studies ng husband ko, pwede po ba ang yung financial certifications ay named after may father in law? or need po na naka-name sa asawa ko po? thanks

@mikenbelle yes, pwede ka dun na mag apply ng pr visa.. Regarding the financial documents, hindi ako familiar sa requirements.. Pero mag read through ka dito sa thread nato, I've read some shared their experiences.. Or you can use the custom Google search sa top right portion ng site.. Good luck! 🙂>-

I've been calling idp since monday to speak with a different counselor but sabi ng secretary "may counselling sya or nag break"

I called today and finally spoke with the other counselor. i complained to her about my counselor not replying to my emails and i wanted to double check on my application.

i also called my uni (long distance) to check and emailed them but told me na sa agent ako mag follow up.

they also have an online status tracker but it would show na "no records." on my end.

So i emailed them but again sa agent daw ako mag follow up.

i've been doubting my counselor since he was really ineffective and unassuring:

replies "i think so" or doesn;t reply at all (through email)

No choice. Buti nalang i spoke with a more experienced counselor today and she checked on my application.

She asked if i received an acknowledgment letter (this is before any offer letter).

i told her wala talaga. she said i should receive one but as mentioned 3-4 weeks na ako nag submit wala pa rin.

i submitted last october 23 pa. but sabi ng counselor ko sa nov. 12 pa na forward yung application ko with my ielts score kasi na "busy" sya. (again nakakaloka)

still nag follow up ako weekly kasi I never trusted him cause he kept saying "i think". nakakaloka.

wala din ako choice kasi if aawayin ko baka mas ma delay pa. 🙂

buti nlng i trusted my instincts.

just 10 minutes ago nag email sa akin yung new isang counselor and told me they will send out my application TODAY. (Nov 26)

ibig sabihin 1 month ako linoko ng counselor ko saying he did forward it na but hindi pala.

back to step 1 ako today.

Nakakinis but thankful na hopefully ma address na yung application ko .

@mikenbelle same tayo ng situation. kaso lng ako yung mag study and my father in law will be our financial support.

the reqts. will depend on the visa subclass.

I am applying for a subclass 573. I will need to submit a notarized declaration and an affidavit of support signed by my father in law (as sponsor) and we will request for his bank statements (last 3-6 months) ng accounts nya.

No need for show money kasi but need to prove na may sufficient funds lang talaga to support our stay.
