I'm almost done with all my documents, COEs/Affidavits/TORs notarized and CTCed.

Ang nawala sa isip ko - ang aking scanned passport and CV (copy of a printed document). Do these things need to be CTCed as well!?!? gosh...

Ay kala ko doon.

2 pang school ang alam kong malapit sa Sta Mesa, CCP at RTU ba yun. Hehehe

Nag exam na ako dati ng IELTS nung hindi pa 7 and required band score. 6 pa lang noon at naka 6.5 ako pero hindi ko natuloy yung application ko that time due to some reasons.

Ngayon... paso na sya at nag level up na ng requirement kaya IELTS IELTS din pag may time. 🙂

I am an undergraduate of DLS-CSB (accomplished 1 year) and then, went to work afterwards. Finished college at STI Makati, 2 year diploma lang, working student.

Professionally, I have 10 years+ experience in IT and gusto ko mag try mag pa assess if where I would fall. Currently, I am making my docs for the employment reference, ako na pinagawa nung current employer ko, then check nya ung job-roles and approve and sign. Sa mga former employer ko, ask ko pa lang if pwede ako maka kuwa nang COE with my job roles.

Anyway, update ko itong thread na eto. And I saw ung STI sa list of known schools

Goodluck sa atin, target ko ma submit sa ACS itong July ung mga requirements.

No problem mate! Ang napapansin ko pag 5 year course and nasa section 2, ang binibigay nilang assessment ay AQF Bachelors degree, then pag may PRC sureball na AQF Bachelors degree..

Mga mate, nagpass din ba kayo ng mga training certificates? Although nakaset ako na isasama ko ito gusto ko lang malaman ang mga inputs ninyo.

98% na akong complete sa documents. By the end of this week maisubmit ko na sana.

Guys.

Here's my predicament...

I actually have an existing and valid 457 visa (I had a project in Melbourne before and was there for less than a year). The approved job for this 457 was for a Systems Analyst position.

Now I'm in a different country working on another project.

I plan to apply for a 189 or 190 visa.

I worked for a big software company from September of 2005 up to December 2009 - job title is Software Engineer. I resigned and joined a consulting firm starting January 2010 up to present. The consulting firm does "consulting" for the same system that I used to work on in that big software company - job title is Systems Analyst.

Right now, I don't know what job code to file - Software Engineer or Systems Analyst?

I've been reading about this but of course Systems Analyst is more of an expert. My thinking is of course, in order to be an expert, I needed to start somewhere, that is of a Software Engineer.

My biggest worry is with the claiming of the points. I think I can cater my CV to be a software engineer from 2005-present. Or explicitly state that I was a Software Engineer then did Systems Analyst job from 2010 to present.

I would really really appreciate your thoughts on this.

Also - do I need to CTC my CV?

@jflucena you could check the job description posted by ACS for system analyst vs software engineer and cross check with your daily tasks in order to determine which occupation you suppose to nominate.

If ACS tells me to apply as a Software Engineer (assuming di ako pasado sa Systems Analyst), do I have to reapply, and pay again?

@jflucena not sure about this one if in the course of assessment, in case ACS sees your job description is more aligned with software engineer, they would advise to change your nominated occupation.

@meforgetful According to ACS ung 8-12 weeks e tatakno kapag nsa stage 4 with assessor yung status mo. In your case, you need to count from April 22 onwards.

I think you would most likely fit in the Analyst - Programmer code, just my 2 cents. Thanks!
