Yup binawasan ako ng 5 years sa experience. Kaya medyo ma-dedelay ako.

Either wait ako till Feb 2015 or retake ng IELTS and get Band 8.

I think base to sa credibility ng school. Actually I wanted to ask ACS regarding this just to confirm.

AFAIK, Both those have their degree from STI and AMA (kahit anung branch) are always assessed as Diploma only. (Pls. correct me if I am wrong)

@dantz Kung i-assessed ng ACS mga graduates from STI at AMA (Kahit anung branch) as Diploma only nakakalungkot naman po yun 🙁 Pero kahit magkaganon kung lalabas na AQF Diploma po push parin ang application. Try parin kahit ano mangyari hehe ^_^

@cookiemonster its not true! Im from AMA too and got positive assessment from ACS. I was assessed with Bachelor's degree. You said it right, push mo lang yan myfriend. Goodluck!

Bilis ng ACS ngayon. I submitted reassesment last Thursday, and got the result today. 🙂

Nakuha ko na din yung ACS assessment ko. nung 15 Sept ko sya ni-submit... ngayon ko lang sya nakuha. buti possitive naman yung result. 4 years ang binawas sa akin. 🙂

@raiden14 Ang bilis nga po ng ACS ah may result agad, sana lagi pong ganyan at hindi na abutin ng matagal.

@winxz 4 years po binawas sa work experience mo? bakit po kaya 4 years? Ayos lang po ba malaman kung ano po nominated occupation mo? Thanks po 🙂

@cookiemonster: nagbabawas yata talaga sila ng work experience kapag outside australia yung experience. Developer Programmer (261312) ang nominated occupation ko.

@winxz Thanks po sa pag reply 🙂 Ganyan din po nominated occupation ng husband ko. Oct 1 kami magstart mag gather ng requirements. Ang nabasa ko po sa guidelines ng ACS, pag daw ang ay employment completed after the qualification, "2 years of work experience will be used to satisfy the suitability criteria". Ang laki po ng 2 yrs eh. Ilang years na lang po natira nung binawasan ng 4 yrs? Thanks po

@cookiemonster Mejo careful lang po sa pag-claim ng points sa EOI. May mga cases na nag-overclaim ng points and dahil dun, they got rejected sa visa application. Kung ano po yung nakasulat sa results ng ACS Assessment, sundin nyo po when lodging your visa. It is clearly stated naman dun if you're assessed as Bachelor's Degree or as an AQF Diploma. The number of years to be deducted will be based on your nominated occupation and your college degree. They're checking for relevancy. Min of 2 years ang binabawas. Mas malaki ang bawas if you'll be assessed as having an AQF Diploma only.

@cookiemonster almost 12 years (11 years & 9 months) pa rin natira sa akin.

"Your Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Polytechnic University of the

Philippines completed April 1997 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree

with a major in computing."

@winxz - may 2nd line yan, dun ata dapat magstart ng employment qualification. Not the year you graduated. Correct me if im wrong. Alam ko kasi yung past 10 years lang ang pwede mo gamitin for claiming.

"The following employment after December 2002 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately

skilled level and relevant to 261312 (Developer Programmer) of the ANZSCO Code."
