Hi po!

Need ko po sana suggestion or opinion nyo.

Almost complete ko na po yung COE ko from previous employment ko. Gusto ko sana magsubmit na sa acs kahit wala pa yung COE ko from current employment. Sa june ko pa kasi balak magresign nahihiya ako kumuha ngayon kasi malalaman nila na balak ko umalis.

Pwede ko naman pa update yung acs ko diba?

@iska03 Best na icomplete mo muna lahat ng documents mo bago ka magsubmit sa ACS. Mabilis lang kasi ang assessment ng ACS. Baka mapagastos ka pa kasi may reassessment fee pag nagdagdag o may papapalitan ka.

Huwag kang mahihiyang humingi ng COE. Naka ilang hingi na ako ng COE for travel. Pwede mo namang sabihin for work assessement/certification yung purpose ng COE mo.

I am about to submit my docs for ACS Assessment. My few questions lang po. Hope someone can help me.

Do i need to fill out all my experience? I am asking this because for my first two companies in the Philippines dina ako nakakuha ng Employment Letters with the format and content prescribed by ACS. I only have generic format for certificate of employments from these 2 companies. Anyway, even without these two companies, my years of experience would still be more than 10 years. Should i include this company when filling the ACS form and attached my generic COE or just don't include this detail at all. Worry ko lang if i don't include this detail they might be asking what I did after my Bachelor Degree.

Please advise specially those with similar experience. Thank you.

@imnats not required if you don't plan on claiming work experience for those. Take note that you need to declare those work experiences if Form80 and Form1221 are requested by your case officer once you lodge your visa application..

Hello guys,

It's my 1st time to post a question here and hoping to get your advice on my situation. I recently got my results from ACS and i'd like to ask whether it's best to apply for Review or to have my skills and qualification re-assessed from scratch.

I got 10 points for qualification. Took up a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UP in the Visayas (which falls under Section 2) but acs only had it assessed as Associate Degree.

As for work exp, i got 10 pts only. My 12 yrs of experience were all deemed suitable but only 6 years were credited for skilled employment.

I have 2 more years of undeclared work experience so im planning to request for Review. Is this possible? Or would you suggest that i suggest start again with the assessment as they might consider my qualification as bachelors degree the 2nd time?

Hello to all,

Need some advise po for ACS requirement. If the CoE does not contains details about '"Hours Worked (i.e. Full time)", will the ACS not considered it for assessment? Do I need to get Statutory Declaration for this? I've got all other required details in CoE except for this requirement. Also, it would take some time (i.e. months) if I will go again to my employer to seek amended CoE.

Appreciate if someone can advise especially those who have submitted with similar case. Thanks in advance.

@fedsquare Most probably, applying for re-assessment won't change the outcome from AQF diploma to AQF bachelor even if you add 2 more years of work experience as your degree was already assessed as "major in computing."

AFAIK, if you're nominated occupation is ICT Business Analyst, the most closely related course is Information Systems. I believe that's the reason why 6 years were deducted from your work experience.

My advise: get sufficient documentation for the undeclared 2 year work experience and send a new application. If successful, you can now claim 8 years instead of 6 which amounts to 15 points.

@rich88 thanks for the prompt response, appreciate it. Just some additional questions - if i lodge a new skill assessment application, do i have to link it to my earlier application? I was just worried that i might get a lower result result if i go by this route as opposed to lodging a "review application".

$395 din para magpareview. Halos same cost ng original assessment. 🙂

@fedsquare Yes, you have to. They specifically stated that if you wish to apply for a new assessment, you have to link it to your old one if any. Don't worry, you won't get a worse result.

Even if you don't, they already have your records in their database so linking it will actually make it easier and faster for them to provide a new assessment.

@fedsquare hey man, let us know what will happen to your re-assessment. I also want to go the ICT Business Analyst route, and from what I've read from others here, it looks like BS Computer Science is "not closely related" to that occupation. Thankfully I'm on a section 1 school so they're going to ask for 4 years lang if ever it is deemed "not closely related". If it is closely related, then swerte, 2 years deduction lang.

@rich88 is ACS that strict when it comes to job titles? My job description is the same as ICT Business Analyst according to the ANZSCO definition but my official title is "Operations Supervisor". I could always ask my direct manager for an affidavit for proof of job description, but I have to supply it with payslips daw. Are they going to talk to my manager or the company's HR? HR won't give a detailed CoE because of confidentiality reasons.

@YoungJebediah I think I can relate sa situation mo. Yung isang employer ko kase, generic yung name ng position or job title. My kanya kaya pang capability under that generic position like wintel engineer or unix engineer or storage/backup. Yung sa generic coe ko from HR, is yung normal na job title, pero yung affidavit ko from my colleague is yung aking capability mismo. Yung nilagay ko din sa ACS is yung Capability ko which is storage/backup, hindi yung nasa generic COE na delivery consultant. Okay naman ang naging assesment.
