Need help. Planning to file an assessment sa ACS, issues is, ung nirequest ko na TOR at Diploma. TOR will be ready in 2weeks, unfortunately, ung diploma 2 monthd pa daw. They suggested that they will just provide a certification instead. Would that suffice sa pagpapa assess ko? Salamat marami!

Cisco - Network, Voice/UC din ako. I don't have PRC but also Cisco certified. So all I could show is my TOR.

I'm just a bit surprised not closely related yung BS CoE sa 263111 Computer Network and Systems Engineer.

I'll see muna how I do sa PTE and decide based sa results if mag appeal.

I applied for my brother in law's ACS 6 weeks ago. We received the result yesterday. ACS deducted 4 years. This is the 2nd ACS assessment.

The 1st ACS assessment was last September 2016 and they deducted 2 years. The reason we re-applied was to get 5pts work experience. 5 years - 2 years = 3 yrs work experience. I have replied to their email yesterday and hoping that they will change the deduction from 4 years to 2 just like last year's assessment.

Medyo pangit din experience namin last year sa ACS. They gave us a negative result due to "not providing documents". I replied to their email and contested that we provided everything. After one day, we received the positive assessment.

ECE siya sa lyceum and nominated occupation is computer & network systems engr. Though in the second assessment we selected systems administrator I'm wondering if this is the cause or if this is due to the recent changes in ACS 2017 policy.

@sohc Just wondering, why did you apply for a new one if your concern is on the work experience? AFAIK, if you have positive assessment and your brother-in-law's current occupation deemed as skilled employment by ACS, you can still use the current assessment and the latest occupation will remain valid. If you put this in EOI, the current job has no "End date". Therefore, system will automatically compute his job and will be updated once he reached 3yrs.

Or perhaps, he changed a job wherein ACS didn't assess? 🙂

@SAP_Melaka - Thanks. AFAIK, the total years of experience in ACS is what will be assessed by the immigration. I don't think we can claim an extra month or year in the work experience if it is not listed in ACS assessment.

2 years lang natira sa kanya dati when ACS deducted 2 years kaya we waited for another year to get the additional 5pts for a 3 year work experience.

Waiting mode kami sa ngayon, buti nung time ko walang ganitong rules...

@sohc no, it's not the case. Based on my experience, I also have less than 3yrs of skilled employment when I got my ACS assessment, and since I'm still with the current employment that ACS considered as a relevant employment, I just leave the EndDate of my current employment as blank in EOI. The system will compute then when you reached 3yrs provided you still with the same employer.

@sohc I think if it is same company pa din sya dun sa last time na pina assess nya pwede ng hindi na mag pa assess ulit. just provide updated COE for that company at pwede na sya amg claim ng point.

@SAP_Melaka & @Hunter_08 - salamat sa input. Nagreply na samin yung ACS today and they said

In your first application, your degree was assessed as being closely related to your nominated occupation code (Computer Network and Systems Engineer), meaning that 2 years of experience were deducted.

In your recent application, you changed your ANZSCO to Systems Administrator, and your degree was assessed as being NOT closely related to your nominated occupation, meaning that 4 years of experience was deducted.

Nagemail na kami today na ibalik na lang sa dating ANZCO code. We are hoping na pumayag without paying another $395 for the appeal.

@sohc no need na ipabago sa ACS yung latest assessment sa brother in law mo kasi yung first assessment is valid for 2 yrs meaning pwede pa din nya gamitin yun sa pag lodge ng EOI at since same company pa din sya pwede nya idagdag yung month na hindi na sama ni ACS for assessment(be sure na same company pa din) good luck....

hello po, pahelp po ako sa ongoing na assessment ko, eto po problem ko

1.) hindi ko na po madelete yung naupload kong file na passport sa personal details, papalitan ko po sana kaso ang lumalabas "YOUR FILE COULD NOT BE DELETED. PLEASE TRY AGAIN" tinry ko na po a week after ganun pa rin po.

2.) dun naman po sa experience, pano po ilalagay yung current experience sa company na "till date or up to present" kasi naka-drop down lang yung option sa calendar.

@renly2328 you could ask ACS directly and they are usually prompt in assisting.

Hello po. Ask ko lang po kung meron dito nagpa.assess na ung natapos nila is BS Computer Science sa UP Visayas. Tapos ung nominated occupation is 261313 (Software Engineer)??

Kasi sabi ng results ko:

Your Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of the Philippines in the Visayas completed October 2006 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Associate Degree with a Major in computing.

Hindi ko mawari why Associate Degree lang xa =((

@OzyCebuano. UP Visayas din ako but different course lang. I can answer why AQF Associate Degree ang assessed sayo and di bachelor, same din sa akin. UP Visayas belongs to section 2 only of the categorization of schools and for you to qualify for an assessment of a bachelor's degree dapat at least 2.0 ang GWA mo. Not so sure lang sa GWA kasi iba course mo pero dapat ma meet ang min grade req, if not assessment will be comparable to a diploma only. That is based sa explanation sa akin of one agent. Lets wait baka may iba pa magbigay ng inputs.
