Hello,

I already got my ACS Assessment results and I took the RPL route.

I am a BS Commerce Graduate, UST

I have 5Y6M experience as a Software Engineer from Company 1 (2010-2016)

I have 1Y3M experience as a Software Engineer from Company 2 (2016-2017)

Both experiences mentioned above were assessed to be suitable for Software Engineer.

I was very thankful for this and plotted na when I might be possible to move. However, we just saw now lang, na yung 6 years na yun, eh hindi pa suitable for the skills assessment part.

I saw this and got really confused,

Your skills have been assessed to be suitable for migration under 261313 (Software Engineer) of the ANZSCO Code.

The following employment after December 2016 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level and relevant to 261313 (Software Engineer) of the ANZSCO Code.

Does this mean, hindi pa ito yung 10 points na kailangan for the skill?

Please. Hope anyone could clarify.

@callmeskyler you are suitable for Software engineer occupation to migrate to Au but since you take the RPL route they have rules that they will deduct 6yrs of your work experience to be able to be suitable. so you can only claim work exp from "January 2017-present".

@callmeskyler parang kailangan mo kasing mag compensate ng years of experience kasi di related sa course mo yung naging jobs mo. Pero the fact na suitable for migration ka ay malaking bagay na. Focus ka nalang sa pagkuha ng superior na english proficiency. 🙂

@xylocke Maraming factors na kinoconsider si ACS. Eto lang pagkakaintindi ko.

5-year course from a section 2 school is equivalent to AU bachelor's degree. Nagkatalo ito sa subjects. ICT Minor ba ang assessment?
Section 2 school with good grades. GPA of 85+
Section 2 school with GPA of less than 85 (kagaya ko), associate degree (same points lang with diploma) lang ang magiging equivalent sa AU.

Points needed: 75 (Sabi sakin ng agent ko 75 na)

Hello @agd , question regarding sa Section 2 school with GWA of 2.37, ano possible qualification/point na pwede iclaim? do I need to undergo assessment pa ba?

@callmeskyler if bachelor's degree yung assessed sayo you can claim 15 points kapag diploma 10pts lang.

@krishnaz if average grade is 2.00-3.00 for 4 years full time study, Associate Degree ang assessment. If 5 Years ang course at full time with 200+ units, matic bachelors degree. refer sa attached.

Thanks @Heprex , since i took BS Accountancy from yr 2003-2008 with 239 credits, consider as Bachelors Degree na po ba?

Next question ko po eh, kung Bachelors Degree na po yan, need ko pa po ba magpa-assess? or ung supporting document ko will suffice like TOR, diploma and Certificate that I have GWA of 2.39?

@krishnaz dadaanan po talaga lahat sa assessment. 🙂 depende din po sa napili nyong nominated occupation kung ano yung magiging assessing authority nyo. Iba iba po yan.

@callmeskyler Makakakuha ka pa din po ng points based sa ACS assessment, dalawa po kasi ang inaassess dun:

education - if BACHELOR DEGREE result mo, you can claim 15 points, if DIPLOMA result mo, you can claim 10 points.
experience - based on your result dahil after Dec 2016 lang ang na credit 0 points makukuha mo.

To summarize your points:

Age: 30

PTE: 20

EDUCATION: 15 (lets say Bachelor Degree result mo)

EXPERIENCE: 0

so you can claim 65 points in total. Kung gusto mong madagdagan pa points mo apply visa 190 additional 5 points un. So you have 70 points. Don't get discouraged and good luck po 🙂

@agd Hello sir, I am just referring to qualification assessment po. tapos na po ako sa skills assessment unfortunately hindi po kasama sa assessment ang qualification.

Gusto ko po sana malaman if pwede ba ako magclaim ng Bachelors Degree if i took the BS Accountancy for five years from 2003-2008, 239 credita and 2.39 GWA without going through an assessment sa vetassess? (by the way I am section 2 school) thank you

tanung lang po. Pag nagpa asssess sa ACS, maghahanap ba sila ng payslip, SSS or ITR? yung 1st job ko is 10 years ago na eh at wla na ako kopya sa payslip/SSS or ITR.

@atonibay not really. The employment letters are the most important one. they will only consider your employment within the last 10 years, FYI
