Meron po ba may alam ano maganda gawin pag ganito result ng ACS assessment?

Salamat po.

Ask ko lang po sana if may chance pag nagfile ako ng appeal or review. Na receive ko po kasi yung ACS assessment with Assoc Degree Major in Computing. More details po below.

Degree: BSCS (CY 2007)

Institution: Lyceum of the Philippines (LPU) Laguna

GPA: 1.9x

Work Experience prior deduction: 11yrs

Work Experience after deduction: 5yrs

Ano po kaya best course of action na pwede ko gawin dito? Appeal po or review? And may chance po kaya mabago pa result?

hi sorry sa noob na question. Ask ko lang po kung may factor ba yung AU degree holder sa pagpapaassess sa ACs? like does ACS still deduct work xp even if you're an AU graduate?

Hi guys,

Sorry for the noob question. I just got my ACS results today and I think I failed. I was able to get a message saying that:

"Your ICT skills have been assessed as unsuitable for migration under 261112(Systems Analyst Code). of the anzscode."
"Your bachelor of science in business mgmt from De La Salle University completed May 2012 has been assessed compared o an AQF Bachelor Degree with insufficient computing content and therefore does not meet the requirements of the ACS as stated in the policy manual."

To give you a brief background of myself, I'm an IT project manager with 4 years of experience.

Hoping for your suggestions and tips on how I can re-appeal this with ACS.Also, what actions can I do in order to solve this.

@pmond unfortunately, there’s no way you can appeal forvthis case. I hope you have read the guidlines provided on their website before you have submitted your application. it clearly explains that for non ICT qualifications such as yours, you will need to apply for RPL and would need at least 6 years experience.

Hi guys, silent reader here but would like to get your inputs and ideas in case may same experience like mine. Nagpa assess ako sa ACS and received the result last Oct 2018:

You have been assessed as not meeting the requirements for professional information technology experience of six (6) years after the relevant qualification in a field closely related to your nominated skilled occupation.

Your qualification has been assessed as follows:

Your Bachelor of Science in Computing Major in Information Management from Technological University of the Philippines completed March 2006 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Associate Degree with a Major in computing.

Lahat ng nilist ko na work history ay naka zero as if wala man lang na credit na work experience. So ngrequest ako ng updated COE with JD na pasok sa 263111 and made an Review thinking they made an error to the result letter.

Eto na ung result dated January 17, same with the University I am still equivalent to Associate Degree:

In examining that document, the later experience is assessed as closely related to the ANZSCO 263111 (Computer Network and Systems Engineer).

We therefore advise that your Review application is only partially successful.

It still doesn't indicate if ilang work experience ang pwede ko makuha or ilang years of experience ang ibabawas nila since Associate Degree lang ako. They referred me to contact the Department of Home Affairs instead.

Please if anyone can help me on this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys.

@MaceyV I wondered if you read the guideline provided by ACS on their website? If you have, it clearly explains that an Associate degree closely related to the nominated occupation requires 5 or 6 years experience to be positively assessed. Therefore, you can’t claim any points for skilled work experience. There was no requirement for a review of your application at all as your outcome has been clearly explained on the guideline.

@RheaMARN1171933 does that mean that i have to work for 1 more year pa with my employer? mag 7 yrs na ako ngaun with my employer and i think 3 years minimum sa case ko in order to claim point sa skilled work experience, tama po ba?

Qualification comparable to AQF Diploma and Vendor Certification

• If your AQF qualification or Vendor Certification is assessed as having an ICT major which is closely related to your nominated occupation, you will require 5 years relevant work experience completed within the past 10 years or 6 years relevant work experience completed

anytime in your past work history (whichever provides the earliest skill date) to meet the suitability

criteria.

Any reco, I submitted an application already, but haven't attached detailed JD and the Transcript from Microsoft (for my certification), can I go to the ACS website and just add it there? Or wait ko na lang yung assessment nila then tska ko ibigay additional docs?

@mamamilk kung possible po ma add sa website I think you should add it up right away. May tendency po ksi na ma delay yung release ng result nyo from ACS kpg kinontact pa kayo ni ACS.

thanks @Supersaiyan . btw, yung stat dec din wala pa ko nsubmit, required ba or optional lang. di ko pa kasi mahigilap yung need mag sign. my coe has letterhead, but walang detailed description ng work ko. so ayun po. pls advise din.

@mamamilk mandatory po yung stat dec kpg po walang JD (Job Description) yung ipapasa nyo po. Yung JD po ksi ang irereview ni ACS kung related or not kayo sa Nominated Occupation nyo po.

@mamamilk di ko lng po sure kung pde pa po mag attach, 2017 po ako nag pass nuon sa ACS, in case na pde po, ihabol nyo po.

Hi guys. Tama ba ang pagkakaintindi ko, puede sa ma assess as Bachelors Degree kapag ang grade mo ay between 1.00-2.00 , 4 years full time at 120-185 unit credits? (Section 2 school ko, BS I.T)

you can with no assurance dahil section 2 ang school tapos 4 year course lang.

hello mga kabayan ask ko sana may ACS na kami last 2017 but maiden name ko pa yung nakalagay magagamit pa kaya namin cya or need ng magpa reaccess?

@patotoy Hi Sir. Im a BSIT grad from a section 3 school and working as an IT Business Analyst with 7 years of work experience. Do you think I have a chance to pass the assessment and be able to apply for skilled migration?

@frenger008 your qualification would most likely be recognised as AQF diploma and 5-6 years will be deducted. You may get a positive skills assessment but won’t be able to claim points for skilled work experience. Whether or not you can apply for skilled migration depends on your points. You will need at least 65 points to be eligible to apply but since ICT Business Analyst is highly in demand, you will need more than 65 points to get prioritised for an invite. All the best.
