Hello! Im trying to start a new application as a Software Engineer, previously had one as an ICT BA. Kaso parang nakalock sa agent ko yung login hindi ako makapag pasa ng bago. Would u suggest emailing ACS to unlock or gawa nalang ng bago under a different email address?
First of all, you’ll need to tell your agent what you are doing. There’s nothing worse for any agent to find out the client is trying another strategy behind their back. Just lay down your plans with the agent and he/she could even give you sone insights into what you’re trying to do.
I’m not sure how it’s possible to lock in a client’s name on ACS portal. I don’t thing that’s even possible. Communicate things with your agent.

Pwedeng magsorry? LOL
In my defense, I have communicated this to my agent weeks and weeks ago and I haven't received a reply. Their management is doing poorly and I just found out that the consultants handling my case have left the organisation, and expecting a reply from the replacement whom I've never encountered or talk to would take another few weeks. Calling their office did not help at all either. As the clock is ticking I've decided to take matters into my own hands, hence the question. I have no vendetta to exact against agents, nor would I want to make agents' life difficult or go behind their backfor no good reason. It's my future on the line. Maybe don't judge agad?
Also I've tried to submit, logged in using my usual username and password. I clicked "New Application" then filled in the details. when clicking "Next" after uploading my CV and passport, it said "Applicant and Agent e-mail address should be different", then at the bottom it said " Our records show that you have an existing ACS account or have previously started an application." I can't see any agent information on the form, so that's why I believe it was locked. So yes, it is possible to be locked. It doesn't allow me to go any further
I see.. I wasn’t judging you at all, I’m not even saying that your intention is to give them a hard time. I was only simply replying as per the information provided. There’s nothing more to it so should be taken at face value. Likely ACS set the system to be able to control such situations hence you’ll need to liaise with them. They are helpful when it comes to issues so don’t have any second thoughts approaching
if that’s the case with your agent might be worth considering to disengage them with your case? Are they even doing something on your case at all?ie strategies they use on your case is apt for the current process? There’s no point keeping them if ang labo nila and can’t communicate properly with them.
Anyway, You can always contact ACS and get to the bottom of this. Any agent has no way to hold you back from sorting this out with ACS at the end of the day. when clients come to me to discuss another skills assessment application, we give them the choice to whether they do it themselves or seek for an additional assistance from us. Personally I don’t mind if they DIY it, I understand as it will be cost effective for them….then they just update me if the outcome later and I continue to help them with strategies appropriate for their circumstance.
