@arch_jeffmatt - i know where you are coming from and i do believe that if and when you do not fulfill your obligation when issued a state sponsorship, this will come to haunt you sooner or later (being when you apply for citizenship or re-entry permit after 5 yrs of being PR) 🙂

nothing was specified anywhere BUT in my opinion, since you were given state sponsorship by that state, it is just right that you will spend your first 2 yrs there...

I mean I don't see the point in applying to a different state only to really live in either Melbourne or Sydney... Clearly it is not right, when you look at it as it is.

@sofabed, you dont have to be there for 2 yrs on initial entry... in fact i've read some made their initial entry to another state (other than their SS)...

example: Initial entry first in sydney (because you want to visit relatives)...

then move to your state sponsor...

question po....for example nagstay muna ako sa perth or geraldton WA,(kse andun friend ko) then nakahanap ako ng work dun? Pde bang dun muna ako for 1 yr then hanap ako work sa SA then after a year ako magstay sa SA and work? wala kayang maging problem?

@glaiza1210: im not suggesting that.. the best way is to contact DIAC..

but reading the obligation stated in the website.. it does not say, that you have to be there for the FIRST two years... in fact it just say.. stay for at least two years..

<b>Reference DIAC: you are nominated by a State or Territory government, you need to agree to:</b>

remain in the State or Territory for a period of at least two years
keep the State or Territory government informed of changes in address details before and after arrival
be prepared to complete surveys and provide information as required.

the thing is, september 2013 pa kame balak magpakasal...ano ba ang maganda namin gawin?! e

question: how much yung kailangan na "show of funds" for a western australian sponsorship? kasi chineck ko na sa website nila. walang nabanggit na presyo? btw, mag-isa lang po akong mag-aapply, wala pong dependents. salamat po sa sasagot. 😃

check if you qualify as "de-facto" relationship..

if yes, then you can include her in your visa application..

otherwise, after ma-grant ang visa mo at nagpakasal kayo, panibagong application yun, i think it's called 'Spouse Visa'..

Kapag ba ang binigay sayong assessment AU Diploma lang hindi Bachelor pwede pa naman magapply ng SS dba?

May nabasa ako but I don't remember which state na "Evidence is not required" dun sa Financial part.

Nabasa ko din dito na you just have to declare it dun sa application form and hindi rin naman daw sila hiningan ng proof ng CO.

depende po sa requirements ng state yun. like for NSW state sponsorship, kelangan assessed as bachelors degree. so pag ganun, kelangan talaga bachelors degree.

For NSW SS, lahat ng nasa occupation list nila dapat lahat Bachelor degree? Nun nagcheck kasi ako sa VIC and SA, wala naman nakalagay na qualification dun sa pdf ng list of occupations na allowed. Napansin ko lang yun IELTS score na required or hindi ko pa lang masyado nabasa lahat. 🙂

@eischied_21 : sa NSW SS, halos lahat kelangan Bachelor's Degree... meron lang one or two na hinde.
