Hello guys. Been reading the posts, and thought I'd give my view. If you are a registered nurse and has at least 2 years work experience whether you are in the Philippines or overseas, I believe you need not to take BSN in Australia. Initial step should be applying for AHPRA. The idea is to fail the initial assessment. Why? Because AHPRA will decide whether or not you can go for the Bridging program or the conversion program. Since you are an RN and has at least 2 years' work experience as an RN, then AHPRA will ask you to go for the bridging program which is good for 12 or 13 weeks. After receiving the letter from AHPRA advising you to go for the bridging program, that is the time you look for an education provider. Further, some taking the bridging program applies for a visitor visa. I believe a 575 should be more appropriate as it will allow you to remain in Australia for about 5 months plus it will allow you to work 20 hours/week. This period is enough to: (1) finish the course; (2) apply for AHPRA registration; and (3) do the ANMAC. After obtaining favorable results, you can now apply for GSM. Good luck guys and GOD BLESS 🙂
