@rcvlqs thank you very much for the feedback. I saw one successful assessment also aside from u But aint able to check her/his qualification. It would be great to know If there are CE grads with QS working experience and with positive assessment.

@kjmo24 I know someone who is a CE grad with no QS qualification and he had a positive skills assessment from AIQS, but that was in 2011. Now, AIQS is very strict.

@rcvlqs oh ok, yeah, that was too long ago. Are u a member of any qs org? Am not sure if the memberships could help but i saw some are even affiliate to aiqs but still their assessment wasnt successful. If u dont mind, maybi ask when did u have ur assessment?

@kjmo24 Memberships did not help me - I am a member of AIQS (MAIQS) and PICQS. Got my assessment from AIQS last October 2016. I requested for reconsideration last January 2017 (asking to consider my experience from 2004 to 2011 before I got my QS degree), but this was their response:

<i class="Italic">"Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering was not recognised and so experience gained after completion of this degree was not recognised. According to the policy only those experience gained after the completion of suitable degree is assessed. As your post graduate diploma was recognised experience gained after completion of this qualification was recognised."</i>

Last week (07 June 2017), I sent another email to AIQS and this was the response:

medyo mahirap din pala talaga. I'm a BSECE licensed and graduate pero my work experience is more on Cost Estimation/Budgeting/Planning (8 years). I've just read that kung wala sa allied discipline ang degree mo, medyo malabo ma approve ng AIQS. Gusto ko talagang kunin yung Quantity Surveyor as occupation, pero wala akong degree on QS, only work experience. (my exact job position was Projects Estimator, then currently Estimation Engineer in the field of Oil & Gas, Piping, Machining & Fabrication)
