Hi Guys, I was the one who started this discussion and I'm so happy to see that a lot of you have been participating in this thread. There were a lot of questions answered. Nakatulong talaga sakin at ngyon ko naiintindihan ang mga sinasabi ng ibang mga residente dito.
I'd like to share my experience since the time I started this discussion.
My husband and I moved a year after we received the visa. We prepared a few things before finally deciding the move date. We got ourselves certifications that we know would add value to our CVs. We also prepared a reasonable amount of money for the move.
But after all those preparations, what happened next when we got here was way beyond our expectations. My husband got a job after a month. I also got a casual job after two months of job hunting and luckily got hired by the company.
What I'm trying to say is that it all boils down to three things: faith, confidence and luck.
Faith - Have faith that everything will be okay. Whatever odds you may get yourself in, there will always be light at the end of the tunnel.
Confidence - Have confidence with your knowledge, skills and experience by getting the right visa, education and skills you need to be visible in the market.
Luck - Be at the right place at the right time ika nga.
After a year of being here, I never regretted choosing Down Under over Dubai. The move is worth it. And I believe you will feel the same. Di mo mami-miss ang Dubai mall. 🙂
