wala pa sir, nag driving instructor muna ako ng 2hr session, hindi naman kasi nagmamadali since temporary visa ako kahit until valid PH licence ko ok lang..pero sicguro next month pa schedule nako ng test.

@goreo bakit po need maconvert agad within 3 months mo? I thought hindi need within 3 months as long as u have ur licence prior to entering Au?

yun ang sabi sa akin ng nasa service sa..pag pr daw kelangan maiconvert to AU DL within 3 months upon taking theory test para makapag drive after 3 months..kasi 3 months lang talaga pwede magdrive ang pr with foreign license..pag pumasa ka ng theory test, nakalagay dun na valid yung theory test mo for a year pero it doesnt mean na pede ka magdrive e for a year with it..

pagkatapos ng theory test, meron pang hazard perception test..then practical road test..which is kelangan mo daw matapos within 3 months para makapagdrive ka beyond 3 months kasi magkaka AU DL ka na..this is for PR visa ha.. yan ay ang sabi sa akin sa service SA..

saka ang foreign DL ko is from UAE which is i think pareho lang ng PH DL kasi parehong di recognised ng Service SA..

Hello. Latest update as of today. Background pala muna.

Got my non pro PH license end of May 2015.
Been driving here in Adelaide for about 3 weeks now, arrived June 8, tiwala lang sa pagdrayb at panalangin hehe. Since PR ang status ko I can use my non pro PH license for 3 months since my entry.
After reviewing the drivers handbook (courtesy of @theumlasfamily) at practice exam sa RAA site, napasa ko yung theory exam ng 1 take just this morning! PTL!
With that, binigyan nila ako papel to warrant me to drive for a year until I finished a VORT or CBT, + perception test, then makakamtan ko na yung full DR license ng SA. Kung di ako mag VORT or CBT within a year, start ako uli dun sa madugo nilang process na Learners, Prob then Full. Kaya dapat magawa na yun before next fiscal year.

Notes:

nakalagay din dun sa papel na after VORT or CBT pwede pa ako masamplingan for a practical test, pwede din hindi.
South Australia policy lang ito at for PR. medyo iba yata pag temp at student visa.
Malupit ang pagkain (pavlova!) at maaayos sa pagtulong sa mga new migrant yung nasa new migrant dinner nung nakaraan sa Adelaide City Care ng sturt street. Salamat sa mga organizers dun! :-)

@IslanderCity @goreo @tartakobsky @brixx89 - kakakuha ko lang nung 1 yr paper after passing the theory exam this morning. I do not think nakaspell out dun na kailangan within 3months maconvert mo na ynug foreign license mo to full license. Nakalagay lang dun na meron ka 1 yr to finished the VORT or CBT. parang walang sense na irequire nila na convert agad yung foreign license within 3months kasi yung temp visa alam ko yung foreign license validity nun is 1 year.

Tsaka marami ako kakilala na more than 3months na dito na PR na di pa din nagconvert to full kasi nga medyo may kamahalan din.
