required po face mask during exam sa pearson makati?
just took the exam yesterday, March 13th, sa Makati PTE testing center and yes po mandatory pa din ang facemask. medyo awkward lang pero try to practice din sa bahay with facemask on para lang mafeel mo.
Kamusta po? Need din ba magpractice with background noise included?
To be honest, medyo bothered ako nung unang part ng exam (RA/RS/DI/RL)... kase magkakasabay-sabay na nagsasalita. mukang maganda naman yung headset provided sa testing center at ndi naman masyado naririnig nung nag-audio check. try to ignore the noise na lang po kase medyo nakakawala din ng focus kapag nasanay ka na magreview at mock exams na walang ingay sa paligid. Additional challenge na din cguro yan hehehe. Waiting pa din ako sa result, hopefully today or tomorrow. Goodluck!

Yas, finally may result na! Laking tulong ng ApeUni for practice... wag lang magrely sa scoring ni ApeUni kase medyo strict talaga AI nila... Just focus on practicing each types of questions...
Happy at nakuha ko ang target score π

Wow! Congratulations po. π Hoping I could have these scores too. I will be taking mine po on the 4th of April. Any tips po before taking the exam?
You can do it too. Just prepare well enough for the different types of test. Check which parts of the exam has the highest % in terms of points, make sure you ace them.
Study how to Summarize written text and how to write essays. (There are tips from APEUNI to ace them).
You still have alot of time.

Thank you for this po! Also, may I know your technique po for Repeat Sentence? I tried chopping ung sentence into phrases but minsan, nawawala ung ibang words pero ung thought andun pa rin. I also tried writing ung first letter ng every word para I have reference when repeating them na, pero pag mabilis na ung speaker, di ko na narerecord ung last 2-3 words. Huhu.
Hope other peeps here can also share their techniques. Thank youu!
Mahirap talaga yung susubukan mong alalahanin bawat word. Two things could be helpful:
1) Memorising flow of concepts, if mas visual learner ka lalo, as if they're scenes in a movie or show. That might help you remember yung nangyayari sa sentence, then put them to words, instead of just reciting yung words robotically. For example, if the sentence is "The teacher told the class to submit their assignments by Friday" then it might help you to have an image in your head nang teacher na nasa harap ng class.
2) Translate into Tagalog (or kung anumang dialect/language that comes most naturally to you) in real time. I did this both for PTE and my CCL exam, and it helped me a lot. Pero I would just take keywords and do shortcuts. For example, for "The teacher told the class to submit their assignments by Friday" ang magiging mental note ko ay "Teacher sabi class assignment Friday". Then fill in na lang yung blanks.
If you get what's happening in the sentence, I think that makes it so much easier to remember. Writing it per word will slow you down kasi ipprocess mo pa sya as something you hear + written form, whereas visual mental models like the two above are quicker.
Sana naka/makahelp!
