hello po, been lurking silently. hehe

question lang po for anybody who already took the PTE-A exam. I find the re-tell lecture difficult in the Mcmillan Practice test. Will the actual PTE-A exam be as difficult as given in mcmillan? Im not fast in jotting down notes.. huhu. should do more practice. but pls tell us how was the actual exam with regard to this section..

hi @shye428. taking down notes and practice lang talaga ang key sa re-tell lecture.

in my case, dun sa isang re-tell lecture item sa akin, may kasamang picture (illustration) din kaya pwedeng describe mo na lang din yung image kung may image na naka display.

ang technique ay yung pag note mo ng keywords or phrases not whole sentences.

kaya mo yan 🙂

thanks po. guess i really have to practice taking down notes as fast as a can and as readable as i can haha! thanks again @Frendmilk focus na.. sana makagraduate nako dito sa phase na to. fighting!

@KEM question na lang sa describe image, lagi po ba sakto yung spiel nyo sa 40 secs or minsan nkukulangan sa time? may effect b s grade if naputol ang spiel mo o better if maigsi n lang at sakto s 40 secs

It is now clear to me that I need to calm down during exams especially the speaking part. The nervousness got into me when the test has commenced. Thus, my intonation and pronunciation flunked because I lost my focus. I can do this. I am hoping to improve on my lowest skills to pull up my scores. I predict a 5 points margin of error for the result. 🙂

@CPAofOz same tayo, mababa din speaking ko. pero writing mataas kahit di ko ginawa yung 2 essays.. not sure if accurate ang scoring nila. I tried both A and B mock exams and failed the speaking test.

Hi,

I have been silently following this forum prior to my PTe academic test.

I just want to tell my story. I have taken Ielts 3 times all failed 🙂

April 2013 first IELTS S8, R7.5, L, 6.5 W7

February 2015 second ielts S7.5, R6.5, W6.5, L6.5

May 2015 Third ielts S7.5, R8, W6.5, L8.5

I was about to give up...

But a guy name @itchard mentioned PTE-Academic to me.

I started reading about it. I got alot of help in this forum too.

I took my PTE-academic last Jun 20, 2015.
