@pindiola you can record your voice during mic testing time. When I took the exam pinahaba ko ang pag mic test kasi nagsusulat ako ng templates ko. haha!

@pindiola wala nmn difference kung sa butas or kahit saan part ng nose kasi small lang nmn surface area ng ilong. Malalamn mo yan habng nagtetest ka ng mic. So dun mo iposition yung mic mo.

Wow pwede pala yun gawin sa Pinas na testing centre. Dito sa Sydney hi di pwede bantay talaga lahat tapos sa taas ng ceiling may cctv camera.

@pindiola dont worry too much sa exact positioning ng mic malalaman mo kapag nagplay back ka ng testing bg voice before exam.

may result na ako.

sa listening alam ko talaga bagsak ako kasi i missed last 4 questions (dictation)..

sa writing ang hindi ko alam kung bakit 57

result naman is ang grammar ko is 90, written disclosure 80, vocabulary 85, spelling 90..

does it have something to do sa hindi ko nasagot na dictation sa listening? na parang related sila?

any idea po saan ako nadali? para doon ako magfocus..salamat..

the only way I see it is that you probably exceeded words in write essay for example.

If you miss the last part of listening, I guess yun yung "Write from dictation"? Partly writing din kase sya. 1 point din sya for each correct word spelled correctly.

Hello po ask ko LNG kelangan ba talaga ma consume 40sec sa speaking describe image/retell led or OK LNG at least 30sec? Failed ako speaking 56 LNG score ko, nasa chin naman yun mic ko. May effect ba pag may colds ka nung exam Baka di accurate pronun ko or super sensitive computer Kaya ma affect quality of voice?

Hello @janine0511 sa experience ko, i did not finish 40 secs sa describe image pero sa retell lecture naka 39 sec cgro ako tinitignan ko kasi yung bar kapag mga 1mm nalang natitira (tumatakbo yung bar dun) tinatapos ko na sentence sa retell lecture. then sa describe image, 35 secs nga natapos na ako pero di ko pa click next, hinihntay ko makita yung completed. Di ko binago yung speed ng pagsasalita ginaya ko way ng pagsasalita ko from read aloud.

no idea kung maka affect ba yung colds. Kasi that time I've got rhinitis (controlled) pero still got 87 sa speaking.

Stay within the boundaries. If 300 words is the maximum, try to reach 280. If 200/300 lang, mababa ang makukuha mo.

Exceeding the maximum will incur deductions. Nasa PTE scoring guide yun.. watch out.

@rich88 Thanks, notes taken. I believed that it is the form of the essay which is being scored for its length. You get 0 for form, if you write below 120 words, and exceeds 300.. But, makakakuha ka ng 1pt sa form if more than 120-199, and get 2pts for form if 200-300. Diskarte ko na lang is to write at least 120, kung madame tlga ako idea sa topic, i might reach 200. Ayaw ko lang i sacrifice yung other scoring factor just to reach 200. Heheh

Sumabog ako sa repeat sentence dun sa mock test ko. Hahaha kulit ng utak ko sabing makinig at intindihin, ang nangyari, tinandaan lang unang part at di na inintindi. Haha

Any tips pala sa repeat sentence? Practice lang tlga? Or try to distinguish it by part to memorize?

@Heprex try to memorize by phrase, usually nasa 3-4 phrase po, karamihan 3 phrase. mahirap na kasi pag apat na di ko rin nakukuha pag apat.

@Heprex If you aim for 79+, need mo talaga i-exhaust yung 300 word limit. 280 - 300 will get you 79+. Pag 200/300 baka maapektuhan yung written discourse mo.

Repeat sentence: Don't memorize. Understand the main topic of the sentence and repeat it verbatim as much as possible. Hindi naman kelangan tlga 100% word for word (though mas ok if verbatim talaga) pero ang importante is yung mga key words, prepositions, conjuctions, at yung order nya ay tama.
