@rechie np. Yeah antay mo muna. Ako kasi, i took it again because with the 10pts, I got 60 total points. After 3 months, Wala pang ITA. So I decided to take it again. Yung luckily I got 79+ sa lahat. I got 20pts and 70pts total na. The following rounds, I got my ITA na. If 65pts total kanina with the 10pts sa PTE, ok na siguro yan. Antay mo muna total points mo

Based on my assessment, I did well sa speaking ng 2nd take ko kasi nabasa ko ng maayos ung read aloud, ung describe image and retell lecture wala akong long pause kasi I used templates and tuloy tuloy din ako ng pgsasalita, majority ng repeat sentence nasabi ko ng buo ung sentence, ung answer short qstn mejo madami ako mali kasi ang daming pictures na pinakita tas dun mo hahanapin ang sagot. Di ko alam kung anong improvement pa need ko gawin sa speaking.

Sa reading ang sad lang kasi mas bumaba sya compared sa first to think ang dami kong practice

Tests na ginawa dito 🙁 pero now I need to read more articles everyday pra mag improve ang reading comprehension ko kasi hindi ako wide reader. Mejo hirap ako intindihin ung passage pag under time pressure. Weakness ko ang reorder and mcma sa reading. Pano pa kaya ako mag improve?

Masakit sa heart at sa bulsa na almost there na pero thats life. I know may reason bakit hindi ko pa to nakukuha ngayon. Sa dami ng hirap at pagod na nainvest ko now, quitting is not an option. Fight lang ng fight! 🙂 #PTEjourney

@MissOZdreamer For MCMA reading, what I did is hindi ko agad binabasa yung choices. Start muna sa question para alam ko kung san ako magfofocus dun sa passage. After mabasa yung passage, tsaka ko babasahin yung choices then select kung alin yung pinaka appropriate. Usually, gumagamit lang sila ng synonyms kaya you should widen your vocabulary para madetect mo agad yun. Try to practice this method sa mga practice exams kung effective sayo. hehe.

For reorder paragraph, medyo tricky talaga. I used the e2language technique dito, like kung alin yung object ng sentence tas tingnan mo kung ginamitan sya ng pronouns sa mga succeeding sentences. Be wary of pronouns, these would guide you on how to rearrange the paragraph correctly.

@rechie Ganyan din ginawa ko actually, antay results ng ACS then 1month-ish review ng PTE then take na agad.

@ceasarkho no prob sir. If your budget permits, try mo din yung ptepractice gold kit (not an advertisement). Kasi for me kelangan mo lang maging comfortable dun sa approach nung mga tanong, not necessarily yung tanong exactly. Relax and pace yourself.

Hi guys. Gusto ko lang ishare experience ko sa PTE. Para din po ito sa lahat ng nadiscourage na magtake ng exam.

First take ko po noong March 28, 2017. Scores: L-74, R-63, S-52, W-86.

2nd take ko nung May 29. Scores: L-82, R-87, S-87, W-86.

Nung unang take ko po puro mocks lng ginagawa ko from youtube. Feeling ko prepared na ako for the exam. Pag dating dun nahirapan ako sa reading kc kapos ako sa oras. Sa speaking naman, medyo nadalian ako. ung mic ko that time nasa pinakadulo na. Sa may chin. Ayun. pag labas ng result, bagsak. Ayoko na sanang mag exam ulit kc sobrang nalugmok ako. Pero nagpapasalamat ako sa mga support system ko na wagas makapush.

Fast forward, nung second take ko. Nag focus ako sa speaking n reading. Salamat sa forum na to for the tips. Dto ko nakuha halos lahat ng templates. Nagpractice din po ako sa tcyonline.com. Nagpurchase ako nung 1 day nila package worth 500.00. nagfocus ako sa reading nun. Dun kc timed tlga ang pagsagot. Unlike sa youtube na pwede ka mag pause kung di ka na nakasagot. I purchased also the PTE Gold kit. Sa mocks, these are my scores: SET A: L-80, R-60, S-62, W-78

SET B: L-73, R-69, S-62, W-75.

Muntik ko na ipacancel yung exam ko dahil walang improvement yung speaking. Pero salamat sa mga sumagot ng tanong ko dto. Thank u @glitch88 and @albertus1982 .

During the exam, matagal ako nagtext ng mic. Tried to position it on my chin, above the lip n sa may nose. Then nagtry ako mag blow kung macapture nia ung air. Dapat walang air. Best position for me was in between the nose n upper lip.

READ ALOUD: Normal lang pacing ko. Parang conversation lang. Sa previous exam ko kasi medyo mabagal ung pagbasa ko. For the intonation, basta may comma, pataas ung intonation ko, pag period, pababa. Then I used ALOUD application sa iphone. Araw araw ko nirerecord kung tama ba ung words na natatranscribe. For android merong Google text to speech. I didn't click the next button right away after reading. Inantay ko macomplete ung recording. Nag next lang ako nung more than 3 seconds na at di parin nag auto complete.

REPEAT SENTENCE: Nkikinig ako ng BBC News and sa mga samples sa Youtube. Nung sa exam na, medyo mahaba ung sentences na napunta sakin. Siguro mga tatlo o apat lng ung siguradong tama ako. Basta I mentioned all the keywords na naaalala ko. Not sure kung tama ung mga prepositions na nagamit ko nun. Ginaya ko rin ung intonation ng nung nasa audio clip.

DESCRIBE IMAGE: Everyday, nagpapractice ako ng maraming describe image. Youtube lang n google ng mga images. Here are the templates:

Sinulat ko lang around 3-4 sentences ng mga sinabi niya n un narin mismo sinabi ko. No pauses n fillers. Sa 10 secs before magretell, chineck ko na mga sinulat ko. Dapat clear ang penmanship para tuloy tuloy ang pagsalita.

ANSWER SHORT QUESTION: May ibang questions na nauulit lng. Gamit ko youtube n pteecademicexam.com. Madali lang ang part na to. Simple questions. Kung d alam yung sagot, answer confidently parin without hesitations. May mga questions na base sa image na ipapakita nila.

@MissOZdreamer if based on your assessment ok k nmn s speaking, try mo pa icheck kung san k p mag iimprove s pronunciation. i think this is also a big factor lalo s read aloud portion. common words must be pronounced tlga ng tama, especially ung mga prepositions - is = iz, was = waz, pronunciation of "the" also changes depending s kung ano ung kasunod n words.

Try to research more on that.
