@cheezy_pops thanks po, I got 66 kasi sa spelling (no idea how that happened) but still got an overall score of 90 for the 4 communicative skills! Got it on my first try too, thanks a lot to the tips I read on here. I would like to share some general tips as well
Kung tantsa niyo sa sarili niyo na medyo ok naman na base foundation ng English niyo, di niyo na kelangan bili nung mga mock test. Enough na yung makukuha niyong links dito sa thread, yung PTE professional yung gamit ko. I had 2 weeks preparation time and it was enough I think.
Get familiar with all types of test. Take note also of the time limits per each test.
Sa testing area, madami kayo, I think in my case mga 13 in the same room, MARIRINIG MO SILA LAHAT, NAKAKA DISTRACT. Go in the test room knowing that this will happen, para kahit papano mabawasan yung distraction mo. During the reading test, tinakpan ko talaga tenga ko kasi yung iba nasa speaking part pa, so di ka talaga makaka focus habang may naririnig ka pa.
SPEAKING: yung mic niyo, tapat niyo sa may harap ng ilong, wag sa bibig, bababa scores niyo pag nadetect ng computer yung breathing niyo from the mouth. As for the test itself, pinakamahalaga is pronunciation and fluency. Personally, yung sa read aloud, wala pang half nung time bar natatapos ko na siya. Maintain your pace sa read aloud all throughout the speaking part. Use templates, very very useful. Don't sacrifice fluency and pronunciation for content kasi mas malakas points nung 2.
READING: di ko natantsa gano kaikli yung 30minutes, 1 minute remaining may 3 multiple choice pa ko di natatapos. Nakaka time pressure to so be aware of that. Read fast, try to absorb faster.
WRITING: sa essay part, I made 4 paragraphs. 1st is intro, 2 and 3 are bodies, 4 conclusion. I think this is the easiest part. Sprinkle in some deep vocabs para taas din score niyo.
Please use your optional break, take time to inhale and exhale. Dun sa room ko 2 out of 13 lang kami nag break.
LISTENING: take notes. Ang medyo mahirap yung missing word after the beep, tip ko dun is pagmasdan mo kung ilang seconds pa yung recording, pag malapit na matapos, be extra aware kung ano sinasabi niya kasi dun pinaka related yung kelangan mong isagot.
FYI lang din, I took the test in a Friday afternoon, 24 hrs after nakuha na results.
