@caeley Oo agahan mo, minsan nakakadisorient rin if you are the last one in the bunch.

Pwedeng same level of difficulty. Actually yung 2nd and 3rd take ko ng exam, napansin ko na almost the same ung content - mostly for speaking and reading part na questions. Two weeks apart din ung exams na binook ko, pero may retained questions pa rin.

Reading talaga ung pinaka-hirap ako to ace. Pero dun sa two weeks ko na review, puro Macmillan dinownload ko na reviewers. Para sakin, compared to PTE kits, PTE books and youtube vids - mas nahirapan ako sa Macmillan. Ang hirap man lang i-near perfect. Pero worth it na i-check mo. Try mo sagutan tapos reviewhin mo lang wrong answers mo at isapuso mo. Important naman kasi sa reading are - skill of deduction and “collocations” 😃

Sa Write Essay - two things -

“proper paraphrasing”
right structure

Sa tingin ko, malaking points maeearn mo sa paraphrasing palang. Effective sa three tries ko. Halos consistent naman top marks on writing.

Paraphrasing kasi naging main guiding principle ko in writing essays. (Something I learned from IELTS ha ha ha! huhu! 🙂 ). Sa Paraphrasing palang, kahit wala ka pang maisip na sagot sa actual question, eh may number of words at content ka na. Buys you some time. Also, it helps you to stick to the question - para di maligaw ung ideas mo.

Make sure na ang gagamitin mo lang eh ung CLOSEST and APPLICABLE synonyms ng mga words ng “starting statement” ng question. Do paraphrasing on Introduction and Conclusion. Yes magkaiba dapat. Hehe.

@maggot0926 try po to avoid complicated sentences sa essay.. keep it simple..try po to watch sa youtube ung example ni Jay - E2 language (about how unethical animals as food) .. simple lng ung grammar. Bsta po tama ung format maganda ung score.. it worked for me po sa actual exam ..

@maggot0926, one advice about grammar is yung knowing how to place punctuation marks especially kapag gumagamit ka ng subordinate conjunctions and coordinate conjunctions. May npanuod ako sa youtube noon at ginamit ko nka 90 ako sa grammar eto yun: https://youtu.be/5AaLBG134co

@mfvquines, mkhang pde nman ata yun basta wag lang mawala sa focus habang nag speech note ka.

@Heprex sa listening summarize spoken text ba, may minimum number of keywords/key points na kailangan mo include sa summary mo? Also, kailangan ba na super sakto yung keywords mo? For example, sa audio minention ng speaker about "buying" and "selling" ng properties. But in the summary I made, I only focused on the buying. Though most of the keywords naan that I included were mentioned sa audio.

@Heprex sorry another question...now on Listening Multiple Choice, Multiple Answers. In one YouTube video, sabi may negative marking - parang right minus wrong. Tama ba 'to?Thanks!

@rai102302, yup tama may right minus wrong sa mcma both listening and reading (this applies on selected answers only not based on not selecting an answer). Pati sa highlight incorrect words kapag may na select ka na not appropriate.

Hi Guys!

Sharing lng ung PTE results ko last Nov. 10 ..

Scores:

LRSW : 90/83/90/82

Finally after 4 takes, naka superior na. I would like to thank lahat ng mga member ng nag bibigay ng tips page na to. I won't be able to get my desired score without your help. Too many to mention, thank you!

Sharing a few tips:

try a method that works for you. For example sa listening, first time ko itry na mag sulat while listening sa audio. Ayun, got 90 sa listening. ..Dati pumipikit lng ako then nkikinig lng sa audio.
use templates sa speaking. Khit paulit ulit .. content hindi maxado importante. Sa read aloud part, try not repeat anu word kung nagkamali. I remember nagkakamali ako pero diretso lng.. in my 4 takes, parating 90 ako sa speaking.
try to get the #1 seat.. ung room malapit sa restroom, nka hiwalay ung pc#1 . So dun ako nkapwesto . Hindi gaanu maingay at hindi gaanu malamig. Pasok ng maaga sa venue.
sa una kong mga try, uminom ako madako tubig para hindi mauhaw. This time, konti n lng fluid intake konpara hindi ako naiihi. Hindi ko na din ginamit ung break in between . ' in the zone' na kasi ako kaya diretso na sa listening part.. minsan nawala akonsa momentum nung nag CR break ako.
follow E2 langauage essay structure.. ung template sa writing dapat back up lng .. may times hindi pasok ung template kaya may risk. Gumagawa din ako 2 essay per day dor 10 days leading to the exam.
sleep the night before. Para may focus ka sa actual exam.
back read sa page na ito.nandito na lahat para ma superior ang exam.
- just prepare and practice..

@rai102302 hello, sa SST range of words is 50-70 words lang. kahit madami ka nakuhang keywords, important din tang flow ng summary. nasagot na ni @Supersaiyan yung about sa MCMA. 🙂

@Sid Lim strategy ko is hanap ako ng way na mas bilis ko ma-adapt at efficient ako. try ng try ng mga method, pattern ng exam is fixed na naman. Sa reading, best is kung makuha mo focus while reading, pag nagegets mo yung passage, ang bilis makakuha ng answer eh.

@rai102302 nung nov 10 , 2 pm lng ang exam.. puno ung buong room.. normally may 8 am, 11am , and 2 pm ..
