Hello everyone. Silent reader lang ako and I only send a message privately to the members pag may tanong. I just need any advice na baka makatulong.

I took test a sa gold package mga 2 weeks ago and i got 65 for both speaking and reading. Then i took test b yesterday. I got 67 sa reading and 69 sa speaking. Sa other 2 exams superior nung test b though nung test a nasa 70+ ung scores ko.

For speaking, medyo nautal utal ako sa read aloud tapos sa describe image and retell lecture mas okay nung test b kasi diresiretso na ako mgsalita. Gumamit kasi ako ng template as advised dito sa forum. Nung test a madalas ako huminto kasi hindi ako agad makaisip ng words to turn my notes into sentences. Malala nung test b ko ung repeat sentence. Hirap tlga ako dun. I tried writing yung 1st letters ng words, it worked sa iba but sa iba hindi din. Hingi lng sana ako ng advice exam ko na sa tuesday. 🙂 and malaki ba impact ng repeat sentence sa score ng speaking? Ang alam ko highest na nagbibigay ng score sa speaking is ung read aloud, tama ba? Ang liit kasi ng tinaas ng score ko from una mock test so im thinking ano ang highest contributor sa score.

Pinakamababa ko in both tests is reading. Seems easy kasi kung iisipin mgbabasa lang pero yun pa pinakamababa. Parang wala ako nadadalian sa lahat ng test types sa reading. Huhu. Reorder paragraph pinakamalala saka ung 2 fill in the blanks. Madalas nakukuha ko halos sunod sunod unng blanks na hnd ko na maintindihan ung paragraph. May I ask din po ano highest contributor sa score dito? Parang ang onti kasi ng points for reading at pag madami ka mali, mahirap bawiin kasi nga onti lng items.

Any comments and advice will be appreciated guys. I am aiming for superior scores. Thank you in advance. 🙂

@mabelledita try mo improve read aloud mo. it constitute also sa score mo sa reading part. Hindi lng sa reading module naka base ang score/ kahit sa other module as long may pagbabasa nagaganap interrelated sya. (afaik)

@fioning1120 kinukuha ko main topic sa first part nung passage then conclusion sa last part. Di rin ako masyado naglalagay ng detalye. Make sure din na complex sentence yung SWT mo. Usually 30-35 words lang nagagawa ko. 🙂

@mabelledita reading fill in the blanks contribute both sa reading and writing skills. Try mo magbasa sa mga unfamiliar topics sayo. In my case kasi dun ako pinakanahihirapan sa FiB and yun din nakakafrustrate.

Sa repeat sentence naman, try mo magshadow sa mga youtube vids para mapractice short term memory mo. Good luck 🙂

Question po. Sa first part ng exam, after introduction, before Read aloud my 30 seconds preparation ba for each item? kasi balak ko sana magsulat ng template for retell lecture and describe image atleast 15-20 seconds gagamitin ko from Read Aloud, so that when I'm about to start in retell and describe image may note nako para basahin. Natry nyo na ba magsulat ng template sa actual exam? or wlang chance?

Now ko lang naconfirm even pala yun watch bawal magsuot? visible ba yun clock sa computer?sa lower right portion? or just in PTE exam screen lang?kasi pag full screen usually nahide yun clock below. Thanks

@archdreamchaser, wala kang time na makita sa ilalim ng computer only timer. Full screen yung PTE Academic application na running sa PC mo. Pde ka nman mag sulat pero make sure nka focus ka pa rin sa sasabihin mo and also kung start recording na. May na encounter ako na walang beep sound na tumunog tpos nagulat ako recording na yung status sa screen ko.

@Supersaiyan Thank you. plan ko pa nman isuot digital watch para my timer and stop watch. Anyway sana hindi ako kapusin sa time kasi kung walang clock di ko alam kung nagexceed na pala ako:-(

@Hunter_08 Thanks sa info, I thought speed is the key, buti nalang normal lang as long as matapos ang passage on the given time, kasi nagkakaerror ako ng try ko yun super bilis, nawawalan narin ako ng intonation, naging flat ang pagsalita ko.

parang mamalatin nako kakapractice ng Speaking Section, This week na exam ko iwas nalang inom cold water hehe!
