hello po. una po sa lahat isa po ako sa maraming nangangarap na makakuha ng mataas na score sa PTE-A. hehe. nakapagtry npo ako ng IELTS once pero unfortunately d ko nakuha ung score na gusto ko. Meron na po ba dito na nakagawa ng violation during exam? gaya ng nagsulat agad sa notebook na provided nila. Anu po consequences?

Hello po. I took my first PTE yesterday and got my results today.

overall 79, with 78/71/77/86 in L/R/S/W.

ES: 89/75/56/90/90/81 in G/O/P/S/V/W

have to retake kasi i need 79+ sana for bigger chance sa 189.

ginamit ko ung mga advice and templates nyo for describe image and retell lecture pero may times na kinakapos na ko sa oras pag conclusion na.

i think sabit din ako sa read aloud at repeat sentence. may napanood ako sa youtube na kahit mababa ung pronounciation, mataas pa rin ung speaking nya. sa OF po ba ko magfocus?

any tips po how to improve? medyo masakit din kasi sa bulsa pag magretake. 🙁

salamat po sa mga tips at sa walang sawang suporta sa tulad naming hindi maachieve ang desired score. thank you po talaga.

Listening

repeat sentence, carefully picture out the words, so you can easily remember them, if the sentence is too loooooooooooooong mumur if possible, copy the speaker's tone as well

Writing

write essay, use the template mentioned in this forum, NEVER copy statement and put it in the essay word per word 😃 , rephrase!

yup masakit talaga yung mga retake 🙂 naka 3 ako na retake 🙁

describe image and retell lecture

focus ka lang sa main points or content ng image like for images (3 times lumabas yung images) color, size, similarities, differences, then for graphs, highest/lowest, x axis/ y axis, highest/lowest figure

sa read aloud po ba kelangan mabilis? feeling ko kasi ok ung read aloud ko. 🙁

normal pace lang ako nung exam pero ang baba na ng pronounciation ko. what more pag binilisan ko pa. 🙁

Good day guys.

Nag take ako ng PTE-A kahapon sa Trident, bali 2nd take ko na ito, last year yung 1st take..

1st take: S: 74 / W: 74 / R: 70 / L: 73

2nd take: S: 90 / W: 77 / R: 81 / L: 86

sobrang nakakadown na 2 points nalang ang kulang. yung feeling na nag lalaan ka naman talaga ng time at efforts para mag aral kasabay pa ng trabaho mo. nag JRooz pa ako this time kaso kinulang padin :') plan ko ulit mag re-take next week. pahingi nman ako ng tips nyo sa Writing. last year, ang ginamit ko ay yung structure ni Jay (E2PTE) sa essay, this year naman yung template ni Steven Fernandez (yung about television) tapos hinaluan ko ng konteng natutunan ko sa Jrooz. meron na ba dito nakagamit ng template na to and nakakuha ng 79+ sa Writing?

Worth it ba mag pa re-score? may nakapag try na po ba?

@abbyzc yup! clear dapat yung pronunciation

not necessarily mabilis, basta within 40 seconds and pause pag may , and .

then pag tapos ka na sa isang item sa read aloud, press next agad 🙂

pwede ka mag practice ng read aloud sa ptestudy.com 🙂 very useful din yan for describe image

@red_lion i saw this po in youtube. halos pareho lang naman kami ng ES especially sa OF and pronounciation. lamang pa nga ako sa spelling e.pero nakakuha pa din sya ng 79+. 🙁

@vanjongsky kita ka nila pag nag sulat agad, so sasawayin ka. pero pag nag insist ka na mag sulat padin, tingin ko di ka na pag eexamin.

Thanks po @Heprex. Actually po first time ko ngexam, kabado po ako sobra. Tumayo po kc ako nung optional 10min break, nawala sa isip ko na dpt pla tawagin un inviglator. Sabi po nya mgllodge daw po sya ng violation report. Kala ko di na nya ipapatuloy pageexam ko. Pinatapos pa din po nya ko mgexam. Anu po kaya magiging epekto nun sa result ng exam ko? La pa po kc result. O isipin ko na na disqualified nko sa exam na un. Need ko na po ba mgbook ng panibagong exam

@vanjongsky nako, not sure ako dyan. not sure kung anong effect nun sa exam. wala ka na search sa google na mga experiences?

@Heprex unfortunately po wala e. Ngtake na din ako ng Ielts once at my kasabay ako na di na pinatuloy magexam. Dko lng sure anu offence nya. Nagtaka lng ako sa case ko kc pinatuloy nya pa din ako mgexam. Hayyss

@abbyzc if nauubusan ka ng oras sa conclusion, I suggest practice more sa speaking while monitoring yung timer, nagstruggle din kasi ako dito before. Start ka na dapat ng conclusion at 30s, if macutoff ka kasi while still speaking, malaki effect nya sa tingin ko.

Here are the methods na ginamit ko from E2L:

Sa descibe image, Introduction - about 3 main points - Conclusion, should be enough.

Sa retell lecture nilimit ko lang sa 5 points:

The speaker was discussing (topic)
Firstly, He/She talked about (key idea 1)
He/She mentioned (key idea 2)
He/She highlighted (key idea 3)
Finally, He/She suggested that (conclusion)

first and last points yung pinaka importante, points 2-3, pwede mo ireplace ng other verbs

During mock test and actual exam, may times na I stopped at 35-36 seconds na, but I made sure na ok yung OF, still got 90 both times so i guess effective naman 🙂
