@charm15 si husband ko po yan. Ako lang ang nagmember dito sa forum. Isapuso mo daw talaga ang mga templates ni @Heprex. Practice talaga and if kaya pa ng sched mo, makinig ka ng lectures din para makuha ang concept per area. Most of all, pray.

Hi just want to share. I got my score card already after 9 "business" days of waiting! And the wait is worth it, nakuha ko na po ang superior scores after 3 takes!

Take note ha, lagapak talaga ako always sa speaking. Believe me first take ko 64 then naging 58 sa next. Like whyyyy.

And then nag overhaul ako sa speaking. Watch niyo sa youtube si Moni and the way she speaks sa mga ptepractice, like if kaya niya maka 90 with the way she talks, mas lalo na kaya niyo rin! Also, templates din po ni Sir @Heprex from here and Sonny English on youtube. I got 90 on my 3rd try!

Thank you so mga people here. And share ko lang yung apps i use. Sa speaking part kasi lagapak, kaya i recommend ung APEuni 🙂

And prayer prayes prayers talaga. Trust in His timing. Thank you po! Thank you kay Lord. Finally, tapos na po ako sa PTE. and I also believe na kayo din. Im so grateful sa forum na to talaga.

L:73 R: 71 S:42 W:85

Frustrated ako sa speaking kasi sa tingin ko hinila niya pababa yung scores ko sa Listening and Reading. Hindi ko alam kung anong mali kong ginawa, wala akong pauses, never ako nagstutter, confident ako na gramatically correct yung mga sinasabi ko, I used templates and maayos ang pagkaka discuss ko ng idea ko, hindi ako talaga alam san ako nagkakamali at ang baba ng speaking ko 🙁

Anong ginawa mong improvement versus your previous speaking? Mababa din ako sa Speaking ko, hindi ko alam san ako nagkakamali.

Possibly, sa position ng mic po? or may static sounds kaya naka-affect sa recording.

@ClmOptimist maayos naman po ung mic positioning ko, ilang beses ko siya tinesting / record / play before exam. When I read aloud, i read as if I'm storytelling, is that a No No? I'm pretty confident pa with my accent because nagagaya ko talaga yung english pronunciacion and all. huhuhu

@ginpomelo For me po when I read with slightly faster pace tumaas po speaking scores ko.

Mocktest A - Speaking 68 (Normal speed)

                 O.Fluency 64

Mocktest B - Speaking 84 (A bit faster pero hindi OA)

                O.Fluency 90

Sa actual po nakakuha ng max speaking 90 ako sa ganyan style. With max oral fluency 87. Take note, I would speak consistently, from read aloud, retell lecture, describe image.

@jijolly I finish my read aloud by 1/2 - 3/4 bar actually. 🙁

@ginpomelo Same speed pala tayo. Sa loudness/clearness naman according to you is okay na. Pero wawla kayo namimiss out na words sa read aloud diba. How about yung pauses after ng period, pause after ng comma. How about when describing image and retelling the lecture po nagka issue kayo like pahinto hinto and stuttering? Nabawasan ako 1 point sa speaking nung nagsablay ako sa describe image.

@jijolly no, i didn't stutter and quite confident talaga na wala akong add/skip na words, i was able to express my ideas sa retell lecture. I was able to properly repeat all the sentence. Maselan kaya si PTE sa intonation, i read kasi the paragraph as if i'm telling a story to a child. With so much intonation and emphasis on words/stresses. Or dapat ba sa isang sentence, isang beses lang bababa/tataas yung intonation?

@ginpomelo I see. Ganyan din ako kaingat sa intonation. I mimic a reporter naman sa BBC. hehe.. Pero Mic issue is ruled out naman since nakapagtry ka naman ng ibang set ng mic right. I put it under lip and mga 1 cm away sa pisngi.

@jijolly whenever i read the paragraph, i read it with so much "emotion" that's why sa isang paragraph tataas then bababa then tataas ung intonations ko. Not sure kung yun ba ung reason. Ang advise ba is to read the sentence on a stable intonation lang then towards the end once lang ang either rising or falling intonation?
