hindi ko alam kung anung ituturo dun. ang main thing sa listening ay dapat naiintindihan mo yung nadidinig mong lecture, dictation, and etc.

@lecia, kung target mo 65+ lang, focus ka lang sa RS, SST at WFD. Pero kung 79+ need mo magfocus sa lahat ng listening item tasks. Yung iba kinakapos ng 1 point sa Listening para mka 79+ dahil minamadali exam at nagkakamali sa mga Listening MCQs. Just give your best shot sa lahat ng item tasks kung 79+ ang target. 🙂

Guys, after 2 IELTS and 8 PTE takes, finally, nakuha ko ang superior points. Waaaaaaa!!!

Here we go. Let me start by thanking everyone who have helped me throughout my PTE journey. You know who you are but special mention to @Heprex. Isa ako sa mga beneficiaries ng mga tips mo. It really worked! Thank you talaga sobra! I consider this exam as my greatest challenge so far in my life. For some, maybe mababaw lang but for me it's a big deal. Imagine that 2 IELTS + 8 PTE exams. Prior to my very first English exam(IELTS) back in 2015, sobrang hina ko mag-english. As in, even the basic subject-verb-agreement hindi ko makuha. I don't have a strong foundation din sa language and I rarely speak/write/read/listen in English. Wala sa timeline ko, pero I enrolled to multiple review centers and kumuha pa ko ng short English course para lang talaga mag-improve ako. I took it as an investment for my future narin. Definitely, it's all worth it. Now, allow me to share my personal tips: Speaking

Read Aloud Dati, ninanamnam ko bawat words to the point na parang robot na pala ko. Then, I tried to read a little faster. Hindi mabagal, hindi rin sobrang bilis. Basta kailangan ko matapos ung item within 20-25 seconds depende sa haba ng passage. Best thing that worked for me is during preparation time palang, I'm reading it aloud agad as if recording na. So, during the recording, I felt confident in reading and ung bibig ko natural na magbasa as if kabisado ko na ung binabasa ko. Pag nabulol, tuloy lang bawi nalang sa mga susunod na sentences.
Repeat Sentence My worst enemy! haha. hirap talaga ko dito. Halos wala akong napperfect na sentence out of 12 items kaya lagi din akong bagsak sa Listening. Ngayon last take ko, feeling ko 5/12 lang din ako. Not my thing talaga kumbaga. Nagstart ako mag-improve dito nung binasa ko lahat ng repeat sentences na provided dito: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1A2oLekDH1OQNskThzsyPnsgnmyweJ_Zb Ang diskarte ko, kakabisaduhin ko per sentence hanggang sa makabisa ko na ung buong page, tapos ulitin ko lahat bago ako mag-move sa next page. Natulungan akong i-train ung short term memory ko. Syempre nalimutan ko na din ung mga nakabisa ko, pero everytime na nakikita/naririnig ko ung sentence, mas madali na sakin i-repeat. Nakaka-umay ung naging diskarte ko dito pero tsagaan lang talaga and it worked naman.
Describe Image I used templates here particularly ung binigay ni @Heprex . Ang mahalaga lang din ung pronunciation and oral fluency mo. You don't need to emphasize and mention every details in the image. 3 key information lang sapat na. Very important dito na isapuso nio ung template para it comes naturally nalang tapos ipapasok nio nalang ung key points.
Retell Lecture Again, I used the template given by @Heprex with some changes. Ang naging diskarte ko lang sa note taking is sinusulat ko agad ung starting sentences nung template. Sample: Topic: Speaker: He TA men dis des high TA - Talked about, men - mentioned, dis - discussed, des- described, high - highlighted Dinadagdagan ko din ng transition words like Firstly, then, in addition, moveover, finally. Then isusulat ko nalang ung points sa tabi. Sinusulat ko nadin kung ano mismo sasabihin ko para babasahin ko nalang afterwards + ung conclusion sa template.
Answer Short Question Use your knowledge nalang dito. Usually, madali lang naman ung questions. Search nalang din kayo ng sample items para mas prepared kayo. 1 to 2 words for the answer is enough.

Writing

Summarize Written Text Skim the passage muna. Then, summarize every paragraph and last. combine them into one sentence. Ang template ko dito: The topic, which is ____, is/are ___ and/but ___. Usually, 25-35 words nagagawa ko dito.
Write Essay Dito, I used the structure of Jay of E2Language. Spend 3-5 minutes sa brainstorming. Mahalaga ung ma-set na agad ung arguments para mabilis mo lang matapos. Give 3-5 minutes for checking and revisions. Natatawa lang ako dito, kasi lagi akong may template na example sentence. "In fact, according to a study conducted by the students of the University of Sydney in Australia, blah blah". haba agad. tipid pa sa oras ng pagiisip ng example. haha.

Reading

Fill in the Blanks (Writing) It's very important to know the collocations on this one. Madalas, may ka-partner word ung tamang sagot sa dropdown dito. During my review, I make sure na may 10 FIBW items akong sasagutan 3x/week. So a total of 30 items agad un. Practice lang din talaga.
Multiple Answers Read the question first then the answer options before reading the whole passage. Counter check every answer options kung akma ba sa question. Use the process of elimination here. Don't spend too much time kasi maliit lang ambag nito sa overall score.
Re-Order Paragraphs Need to identify the topic sentence dito. Pag sumablay dun, sira na majority ng paragraphs. Naging diskarte ko din is to read every paragraphs and check kung anu anong ung most likely na magkakasunod. That will help you identifying the 1st sentence as well. 10 items a day, do it 3x/week for more practice.
Fill in the Blanks Collocations din ito. Madalas, maikli lang ung passage dito so try to read everything and understand what part of speech ung needed sa blanks. 10 items a day, do it 3x/week for more practice. Practice!!
Single Answer Sample technique with the multiple answers basta isa lang ang correct answer dito.

Listening

Summarize Spoken Text I used the structure of E2Language here. More notes more chance of getting a decent answer.
Multiple Answers Read the question and skim the answer options then Listen very carefully.
Fill in the Blanks I immediately type the answers sa boxes. Ok lang kahit wrong spelling muna, itama nalang after the audio.
Highlight Correct Summary Dito, nagttake notes ako kasi mahaba din to. Then, compare nalang ung notes sa answer options. Don't spend too much time here as well.
Single Answer Same strategy sa Multiple answers. Select 1 correct answer lang.
Select Missing Word Listen carefully and pay attention sa audio bar. Pag malapit na matapos, try to anticipate kung ano ung gusto niya sabihin.
Highlight Incorrect Words Use your mouse cursor to every word in the passage para 'di ka malost. Pag sa tingin mo may na-miss out ka, let go, tuloy ka lang makinig mas madami kang mammiss pag nawala ka sa focus dito.
Write from Dictation Same with Repeat Sentence, hirap din ako dito. Pero I did the same thing, binasa ko ulit ung buong document provided here and lahat ng items sa last exam ko andito: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-62m6AzWYp5nM2yj1u1cy5xrCQiTpdgp Naging familiar ako sa mga sentences, mas naging madali ung i-write ung sentences. By the way, I write the 1st letter of each word dito during the recording. Un ung guidance ko para hindi ako ma-lost sa sentence. Mas maikli ung sentences dito kesa repeat sentence and dito may time ka to think about the sentence. Na-perfect ko lahat ng items during my recent take. Imagine kung na-miss kahit isang word lang, below 79 nanaman ako.

Watch English movies/series. Read books. Speak to someone in English. Write 1 Essay per day. That's all. Hopefully, makatulong po sa inyo.
