Tips para sa mga mag-take pa lang ng PTE 🙂
Part 1: Speaking & Writing
Read aloud - Basahin lang yung texts ng normal, 'wag mabilis at 'wag din mabagal. Imagine yourself na parang reporter sa TV, tapos mag-pause din sa commas and periods. Pronunciation ay important.
Repeat sentence - FOCUS. Kapag hindi mo maulit ng buo yung sentence, okay lang yun. Ang importante kapag hindi ka sure sa narinig mo, at least yung sound medyo gayahin mo, para lang yung dating eh nabuo mo yung sentence.
Describe image - use E2Language's structure, yun lang swear makukuha mo 'to.
INTRO: " This "TYPE OF CHART" represents "TITLE" which includes "CITE EXAMPLES FROM X/Y AXIS OF CHART"
BODY: Compare highest vs lowest, most vs. least or maximum vs. minimum.
Conclusion: In conclusion/To summarize..."yung pagkakaintindi niyo sa chart".
PLAN B: Since mabilisan 'to, minsan nakakalito mag-isip ng conclusion, pwede mo din sabihin na "In conclusion, the chart/table provided useful information about "TITLE".
NOTE: 'Wag na 'wag mag-pause.
Re-tell lecture - USE E2Language's structure. (PLEASE TAKE DOWN KEY WORDS)
a. The speaker was discussing "TITLE"
b. He/She talked about KEYWORD 1
c. He/She mentioned KEYWORD 2
d. He/She highlighted KEYWORD 3
e. He/She discussed KEYWORD 4
f. He/She talked about KEYWORD 5
g. He/She suggested that KEYWORD 6
TIP: Before mag-start yung section na 'to, sinulat ko yung structure sa provided na paper. Para yung keywords, parang i-fill in the blanks mo na lang.
Answer short question - madali lang 'to. 🙂
Summarize written text - make sure na include yung main point ng paragraph and at least one or two sub-points.
Essay - Ganun din, USE E2Language's structure.
Intro: Sentence 1: Rewrite "General Statement"
Sentence 2: Mention side 1 and side 2
Sentence 2: Give overall opinion
Paragraph 1: Sentence 1: Restate "Side 1"
Sentence 2: Give reason/s
Sentence 3: Give example/s
Sentence 4: Conclude "Side 1"
Paragraph 2: Sentence 1: Restate "Side 2"
Sentence 2: Give reason/s
Sentence 3: Give example/s
Sentence 4: Conclude "Side 2"
Conclusion: Sentence 1: Rewrite "General Statement"
Sentence 2: Give overall opinion 1 or 2
TIP: PRACTICE at TIME MANAGEMENT. Yung 20 minutes mabilis lang.
Part 2: Reading
Multiple choice, choose single answer - Understand the question tapos connect question sa answer options and then read text.

Re-order paragraphs - PRACTICE. use PTETUTORIALS(may app din sila)
Reading: Fill in the blanks - PRACTICE. use PTETUTORIALS. Collocations ang importante dito
Reading & writing: Fill in the blanks - PRACTICE. Clues mo para sa answers ay depende sa context, semantics, at grammar
Part 3: Listening
Summarize spoken text - Structure? Same lang ng RE-TELL LECTURE.
Multiple choice, choose multiple answer - at least two answers para safe
Fill in the blanks - madali lang 'to. Pero practice pa din. Press "TAB" para mag-skip sa next na blank.
Highlight correct summary - Okay din mag-take ng konting keywords, nakatulong siya sakin.
Multiple choice, choose single answer - PRACTICE. use PTETUTORIALS. Okay din mag-take ng konting keywords, nakatulong siya sakin.
Select missing word - Makinig ng mabuti. CONTEXT is EVERYTHING.
Highlight incorrect words - Madali lang 'to. Habang nagsasalita yung speaker, yung mouse pointer mo sunod mo lang sa words na sinasabi niya, kapag may discrepancy sa sinasabi niya at sa texts sa screen, click mo lang agad.

Overall, PRACTICE LANG AT TIME MANAGEMENT pagdating sa exam. As much as possible, 'wag na bumili ng review materials kasi madaming available online. E2Language lang and PTETUTORIALS enough na.
