How to get there:

From Landers Superstore - Cebu, head straight F. Cabahug Street.

Go past 'Sol Cafe' and proceed straight until you reach 'Castle Peak Hotel' .

Turn right and head straight.

Turn right onto New Frontier (2nd corner after turning right from Castle Peak Hotel).

You have arrived at SMEAG - New Sparta.

Upon arrival, the security guards will ask you to leave an identification and they will provide you an ID. They will just send you to the location of the test center, which is just found on the 3rd Floor of SMEAG Sparta Building F.

For vehicles, there is a small parking lot just close to the building.

By the way, are there any nearby hotels or family inns within the vicinity of the testing centre? Walking distance preferably. Or alternatively my other option is to park & fly lang if the PTE only consists of one day test only, then I'll fly back in the evening to my hometown. Makukuha pa agad ang result nyan? How does the PTE results given? Is it the same din ba like the ielts results that has to be collected in the testing centre office as hard copy only?

Just got my results a few minutes ago. After attending CEVAS earlier this year, my results drastically improved. Pero kinapos sa reading. hehehe

@joy.0491 Yes po, lalabas lahat ng types sa exam. Dyan din ako nagworry, sa DI and RL. Actually, sa exam meron akong hindi maintindihan na graph, kung anu-ano na lang sinabi ko. Ayun, nakalusot naman. Haha!

sa Describe image I learned na if in case may natyempo sayo na graph na parang “ano ito i kenat” hahahaha - gamitin lang ang template, kumuha ng high and low values and siguraduhin na sabihin mo yung mga words na nakikita sa image ( like yung title), legend, types - pasok na yon for score - compared sa magpanic ka bilang dimo naintindihan yung graph and mag dead air 🙂

@cacophony great score and upward progression 🙂 yung mga ganyang kulang na 1 point sa Reading, malamang sa mcma ka nadale nyan or sa re order paragraph. For your next take if you decide na ipush through - malaki na ang kompiyansa ko na mag superior ka na 🙂

Share ko lang ung exam ko last Saturday at ilang mga tips na nagwork sa akin. Hope makatulong po sa mga next na magtatake ng exam.

Speaking

Used template from sir @ Heprex -> thank you sir!
Sobrang ingay talaga ng part na to since sabay sabay lahat. Naalala ko sobrang distracted ako nung 3rd take ko kasi sobrang ingay ng tao sa room. Plus parang nag de-declamation ung katabi ko sobrang lakas ng boses nya. Hindi ako nakafocus kaya nag suffer ng husto ung RA ko. Even sarili kong boses hindi ko marinig. Plus wala akong narepeat ni isa sa RS. Pls don’t underestimate RA. Practice RA everyday. Isa to sa highest pointer both sa Speaking at Reading.
For RS, effective sakin ung iintindihin and visualize ung phrase and divide it in to 2 or 3 parts. It takes a lot of practice para magamay. Practice lang everyday.
For DI and RL, get 3 main ideas then use template. I followed one of the post here, nabasa ko before dito na better isapuso ung template. Para confident pag nagdeliver na ng sagot.

Writing

SWT and ESSAY – practice lang everday. I watched Sonny English for this. Meron syang magandang explanation. I followed and it worked.

Reading

Honestly, reading ung weakest at pinaka ayaw ko. I was surprised sa nakuha kong score. hehe Everytime magppractice ako nito lagi ko nakakatulog. Nagpractice ako ng marami sa realpte.com for this portion.
Nung first take ko binasa ko pa ung instruction sa reading portion. hindi ko namalayan na umaandar na ung oras. Nasayang almost 5mins ko. Kaya please be mindful sa timer sa upper right ng monitor para hindi magipit sa oras.

Listening

eto ung fave part ng exam ko. Kaso kabaliktaran ung results hehe.
I was a bit worried nung 4th take ko tingin ako ng tingin sa timer dahil baka hindi umabot saWFD. Dahil conscious ako sa time, may namiss ako na 1 word sa FIB at 1 or 2 words sa HIW. Sakto din kasi natapat ang bilis ng speaker. Nalost ako ng todo. I highly suggest pag 3sec before start ng audio focus na dapat sa passage para walang ma miss out.
Practice everyday sa WFD. During practice ko may times naffrustrate ako kasi may mga hindi ako nakukuha. Pero guys cheer up. Sa exam minsan madali lang ang WFD.

General Tips

Stay healthy. Take vitamins. Mahirap magreview at magexam na masama ang pakiramdam.
For my 4th take, I allotted 1 month review. Unlike nung 1st to 3rd take where I only allotted 2 weeks review. I also took a leave 1 day prior to exam for last review and makarest na din. I allotted 2-3 hours review every after work (sobrang hirap nito pero tiyaga lang talaga). May times na nakakaidlip na ako, so ipapahinga ko na ng tuluyan tapos babawi nalang ako ng review the next day. Then, 8 hours on weekends. I sacrificed watching my fave shows.
Prepare your own study plan. Para guided ka kung anong agenda ng review mo everyday. Pra mafeel mo na may progress ka.
I also take Gingko Biloba. Thanks @ms_ane for sharing this! Malaki naitulong nito. Mas madali ko naiintindihan ung RS, WFD , RP, Reading MCQ.

Guys pahelp naman regarding sa podcast. Ano gamit nyo app s andriod na podcast un walang video, un tipong sounds lang ng speaker, para pwede makinig habang nasa byahe. lakas consume ng battery at internet data kapag meron video e. Salamat po ulit at congrats sa mga passers this month.
