Took PTE Academic last wednesday, first timer and got 81-74-88-81 (L-R-S-W). All I can say is kaya maka superior by self review. E2language sa youtube is very helpful. di ko na 79 yung reading kasi nag play safe ako sa MCMA. Pero overall, ok naman na ako score ko and it's more than what I needed. Goodluck sa mga magte-take!

I could not say PTE is easier than IELTS.

For me it's more challenging. There are a lot of tasks to master. The good thing, however, PTE is "more generous" in giving scores. Nag-IELTS din ako pero nabigong kunin ang superior score. But with PTE, my lowest score was still 81.

Besides, for me parang mas hiyang siya sa skills and profession ko. At work, I typed a lot. I read a lot of charts and graphs. I listen to talks and speeches. I write reports. I do presentations. Mas matched ang mga exam tasks ng PTE sa mga day to day activities ko.

Maybe ganun din sayo.

For tips, there are a lot of useful youtube videos. I particularly recommend E2 Language videos. Then, if you have the budget, buy official practice tests from the official PTE site.

HI Everyone, newbie here.

I need IELTS/PTE for my skills assessment and PR application. I have taken IELTS twice.Actually my score improved on my second take, however I still did not score 7 in all the tests. Right now I enrolled review classes for PTE. The trainer said that if you plan to go to Australia, take the PTE exam, that is easier to get your band requirement than in IELTS.

I hope to get my required band score when I take my PTE in June.

I've seen PTE Describe image & re-tell lecture templates posted by @batman. I might revise and use them on my upcoming exam.

@iamJ 2 weeks review. wala akong biniling materials. lahat youtube thru E2Language. tapos practice lang sa mga websites.

@iamJ and @ms_ane Hi Everyone. First time ko lang magcomment sa forum na to. I also took PTE last year and umattend ako ng review classes for this exam. Although, yung nagconduct ng classes ay Indian. (and as far as I have heard, Indian ang gumawa ng program ng PTE.)

What I have learned in the classes?

I'll probably start with Speaking. Yun kasi pinakamababa ko for my first 2 tries sa PTE

I was in the class and sinabi nung instructor ok naman ako magsalita in English. Then after the class, that's when he asked me for my score and gave me the following tips:

1.) Finish DI within 30 seconds.

 - you can follow templates and the other suggestions online, as long as you finish within 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, just click Done/Next (nakalimutan ko n yung label s button..xP haha).

2.) Kung ala ka ng masabi sa DI, basahin mo yung title ng diagram/picture sa screen.

 - you can only do this once. Kasi pag puro yun lng sinabi mo s DI mo, hindi ko n sure kung anong score pde mong makuha.

3.) Magsalita ka lng s ASQ, kahit mali sagot mo.

 - on my last PTE take, I can still remember that one question, 'What is the opposite of predecessor?' Since automatic sakin n ang antonym ng pre is post, nsabi ko n yung post then narealize ko hnd ko na alam yung next word. Sinabi ko na lng postdecessor.xP nakakahiya.xP haha. pero 90 p rin ako s Speaking so all good.;) Successor nga pla dapat yung tamang sagot.;)

Eto na lang muna siguro pra s post na to. Masyado na atang mahaba.xP haha.

But I hope I did not ruin anything sa inyong lahat. I mean we take pride that us Filipinos, we do speak good, even fluent, English. I don't want to take away anything on this exam, but gusto ko lng rin makatulong sa mga kukuha ng exam na to.

You can ask me any questions regarding PTE. I'll try to answer them as much as I can.😉

@frisch24 tips naman for Reading please! 🙂 Dito ako laging kinakapos during my last two takes eh.. Sana sa 3rd time makuha ko na..

@joy.0491 e2 language pinaka legit for me kung kaya magenrol ka kahit silver package nila, ideally atleast 2 months prep. 1 month na sobrang hapit, kabisaduhin mo yung full structure ng exam para makuwa mo full points per item.

@irl031816 We have similar scores. Reading lang din ako nadadali. Based on Youtube particulary sa FIB pag 5 choices, and you don't know the answer, pick only 1 among the choices. If more than 5 yung choices, pick 1 or 3 choices. Selecting 2 answers is a no-no when guessing.

Also, MCMA is peanuts. Mas malaki weight ng other parts of reading test like Reorder, FIB, and Read Aloud. There's a proven strategy on reorder. Like making use of pronoun, subject-object, time factor, etc. I'll send you the link when I stumble upon it.

Good morning po, ask ko lang po sa mga nakapag take na po, sa re-tell lecture and summarize spoken text po ba, pwede mag type po ng notes sa pc? or sulat lang po pwede dun sa given na sheet? salamat po

@leij31 hi. Sa Retell yes pwde doon sa sheet provided, remember to listen to all important keywords na marinig mo, pampataas ng Listening scores po yan. Ganun din sa SST. Template + keywords. Gamit din ng compound sentences. Watch mo din si Jay e2 language for tips sa SST.

Hi mga mahal kong kapatid sa PTE na napakahelpful sa forum nato. I will be taking my exam in May and I have been reviewing in the best possible way I can. Maximizing my time to review even after work. Currently, my struggle is essay writing and reading. I am already familiar na with the format and templates but I'm really struggling with time management. I reckon it has something to do with the formulation of ideas in the essay part and comprehension in the reading part. Lagi ako na uubusan ng time. I took my 1st mock exam last week w/ the ff rresults:

LRSW: 73, 74, 90, 68.

Enabling scores: Grammar 67, Written discourse 47... all the rest 80+

I will take another mock test next week and another 1 few days before exam.

If any of you have any hints or clues as to the possible topics or types of questions na lumalabas please penge namn po hehe para mapractice ko. Thank you sa lahat ng contributor ng thread nato. pagpalain kayo.

BTW superior po target ko for permanent residency.

Sa write essay po ba, pag sinabing discuss and use your own experience, need talaga mag cite ng own experience or 3rd person point of view lang po talaga dapat?
