54 days to go before the big move to Melbourne; so far I have done the following - pls feel free to "remind" me if I miss out to do anything very important.
(1) Book Tickets
(2) Did the CFO Seminar
(3) Opened account in Australia and transfer money - c/o NAB & Commonwealth Bank
(4) Arranged for temporary accommodation - c/o a friend we met earlier during a vacation in Melbourne
(5) Collated all important documents - i.e. birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc
(6) Update CV and begin searching for possible jobs
(7) Sorted out the incorrect year of birth in my drivers license
In the next few days, we shall be doing the following:
(1) Do a dental check-up and get a complete dental record
(2) Pack up - probably the hardest thing to do as you will basically pack your whole life within a 50kg luggage allowance
Am excited and at the same time, kinakabahan na rin. When we moved to Singapore 4 years back, wala kami pera but may trabaho na waiting. This time around naman, may konting ipon (salamat sa pagiging OFW) BUT wala kami work waiting for us. 🙂
