The following is a partial list of prohibited items enumerated by the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Services (AQIS):
Dairy and egg products
Plant material (wooden articles, mats and bags)
Animal products (feathers, skins and shells)
Seeds and nuts
Live animals
Food (fresh fruits, vegetables and cheese)
Used freshwater watercraft
Sporting equipment
Fishing/camping equipment
Travelers are advised to declare ALL food, plants and animal products for inspection of the AQIS.
Some items may be required treatment before a quarantine permit will be issued. Some, however, may be destroyed and dispose in the quarantine bins after inspection. You may also visit the website of AQIS at www.daff.gov.au/aqis for more information.
