as long as you can provide the documents as proof for all the points you are claiming and wala naman problema sa medicals and PCC's nyo...almost sure na po yun. 🙂

Diba subject to screening pa rin yan? I mean, Skillselect sends invites depending on the points alone e hehe

@LokiJr : hmmm...isip ko lang kasi...if you can prove the points you're claiming at walang negative sa PCC and medicals...there's no reason to reject?

Guys question lang. I'm torn kasi between applying for skilled migration now or after 2-3 years pa. My target skill is Programmer/Analyst. My bachelor's degree is Economics but my current work right now is on Software Development. Medyo mahabang story pero to make it short I studied again a Post Baccalaureate course in Computer Technology then shifted to software development. My work experience consists of 4 years of Research work (since econ ako) and 5 years of solid Software Development work. Ang worry ko lang ngayon since hindi ako CS or IT grad, baka mababa ang makuha ko sa points, kaya naman naisip ko na mag-enroll last sem for MSIT which i'm targeting to finish 2-3 years from now para makatulong sa pag-add ng points. Now, the question is, tama ba ang desisyon ko na 'to or umpisahan ko na mag-apply ngayon. Maappreciate ko lahat ng suggestion. Thanks po.

Btw, as an added info: my age is 29 and married with 1 child.

@devrunner : you can still have your skills assessed kahit na hindi related sa ICT yung course nyo. iba nga lang po ang type ng assessment na kukunin nyo, kelangan nyo mag-RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning). pero for RPL cases, you need to have 6 years of experience closely related to your nominated occupation. since you have 5 years of experience na, you only have to wait for 1 year. pero try to read the assessment guidlines first from the link i gave above. 🙂

Hi guys, I am planning to submit my ACS Assessment before end of month and I was wondering if I still need an Affidavit. I understand that Affidavit is needed if your COE is not detailed or you can't secure one from your former Employer. I am still connected with the same company and was able to secure COE and I can say its detailed but more on the general duties and responsibilities. I was wondering if I still need to come up with an Affidavit that clearly states the technical aspect of the support we provide or we're doing or is it ok to just include it on my CV? Do you think its ok to provide both COE and Affidavit?

@Geoff : have you seen the template provided by ACS for employment references? if the COE's you got from your employers contain all the required information by ACS, then there's no need for you to submit an affidavit. but if not, better submit your standard COE and an affidavit signed by your previous supervisor.

Hi @hotshot , yes I saw it and I can say all highlighted information are included on my COE. Actually its the same format that our HR used for a friend who submitted his Skill Assessment application for Engineers Australia and was granted a visa. Im just worried if I still needed one. By the way, here's the list the I will be uploading:

Birth Cert

Passport

TOR

Diploma

Course Description

Cert of Employment and Job Desc

Certification of Compensation

ITR

Some Certificates

Do you think everything is covered. I think I pretty much covered all those on the check list. If there's anything I need that would help, please let me know. Thanks for replying 🙂

@Geoff : di ko na kasi maalala lahat e. pero basta included lahat ng nasa document checklist ng ACS, you should be okay. 🙂

Ask ko lang re: Point System (Qualification): For item 15 , kelangan ba talaga with Honor or Masters? Paano kung hindi?

15: Recognised Bachelor degree (including a Bachelor degree with Honours or Masters)

10: Recognised Trade Qualification including ...

Bachelor Degree is enough..

they are not referring/requiring to graduate with Honors (cum laude etc)..

Your assessing authority will determine if your Phil degree is equivalent to AQF bachelor degree (15pts), or diploma (10pts)

Thanks for the informative info. I'm a B.S Computer Science grad. May i know what are the required docs in submitting to ACS? As far as i know eto yun:

Passport / Birth Cert, Diploma, TOR, Coe, training certs. - Please add if missing.

Congrats sayo you already have a Visa. ilang months bago malaman ang ACS result? ano occupation inaplyan mo?
