Engineering Jobs in Sydney

Hi. We are moving to Sydney this August 2015 and we have already started scouring the net for possible employment. Parang kokonti lang kasi, I hope mga kabyan natin who are from Sydney can refer jobs sa lahat ng may engineering background. Ginawa ko ng general na engineering para maraming makapagpost. Currently I am helping my husband look for any civil engineering job kasi di ako pwedeng magwork. Thanks for your help guys.

apply apply ka na sa seek.com.au ng civil engineering jobs or draftsman or estimator...or probably revit..in demand siya dito sa oz... then revise ur cv to about 3 pages lang, oz style ika nga...

thanks boss! you think somebody would consider kahit na nasa ibang bansa pa kami? will revise CV again. have to compress it further pa pala.

@piglet24 hello boss...haha...dhey na lang mate...hinde uso ang tawagan ng boss o sir dito...first name basis dito kahit sa boss mo... :-)

uhm, yep, meron mga swerte na nahihire kahit offshore pa kaya try sending resume na rin kahit offshore ka pa...malay mo isa ka sa swerte :-)

@dhey_almighty: hehe salamat po... will try to revise and revise the CV. Si husbandry na lang muna ang paghahanapin ko ng work kasi piglet magkakaroon na din ng piglet eh. kaya di makapagwork. hehe how many pages ba talga ang Aussie cv? 2-3 pages? or less?

@piglet24 around 2 to 3 pages po...without pictures...then include achievements sa bawat career episodes...plus lagay ka na rin contactable references.... goodluck

@dhey_almighty: 2-3 pages lang? that's the thing kasi yung k husbandry almost 5 pages. lahat ng experience niya. should we take out some of the responsibilities/ achievements niya per project? thanks.

@dhey_almighty 2 weeks n po ako dto sa Sydney. hanggang ngayon wala pa ako nhahanap na work. graduate lang kasi ako noong 2014 then nagturo ng college for a year. any suggestion or pieces of advice po ?

try brushing up ur CV to about 3 pages...without picture...check online ng oz cv format...

maaga pa yan..usually ang mga companies e hinde agad nagtatawag for interview...talagang hinihintay nila ung job closing date bago sila magsort out ng candidates...and minsan pag tinawagan ka na for an interview, usually 50% e pasok ka na sa job...minsan naman, pag urgent hiring e nagcacall agad sila...

if gusto mo na magwork, try doing casual job muna that is not inline with ur profession...para malibang ka lang at kumita kahit paano...take note na if ever magaapply ka ng odd jobs, put in a resume na mababa kesa sa profession mo...

Looking for a job is a 24/7 job.. Mahirap kasi pinag aaralan talaga. Over 107 cvs sent, I've learned that after the perfect CVs tailorfitted, dapat din sa Interview inaaral mo yung strengths and weaknesses mo that will answer to their needs. I was coached by ecareer recruitment agency about that.

Dapat straight to the point din yung answers. I recalled IELTS speaking.. Hahah!! The category when you need to answer in 2 min. came in reality in a 4 walled interview room that will get you to your dream job!

I'm here na. For now I'm in Sydney with my family and will be moving to Adelaide to start.my contract with HP.

Try ninyo mag pass ng application sa Peoplebank Adelaide or sa Robert Walters recruitment.. They are more inclined to ICT, ENGR clients.

@ironman_gray22 no need na when you're trying to apply for a job. Anyways, the referral stage comes last. They will send your referred boss a document to fill out asking about your work attitude.

Sa mga nakapagwork na sa Engineering Field sa Sydney, nag-hhire din ba mga companies ng mga entry-level positions.. mga totally “no experience” ba in a specific field?

Like sa case ko kasi, I’m an ECE pero from a manufacturing engineering background, gusto ko sana makapag-shift to probably ICT-related field sa Oz.. Thanks!

If naka manufacturing ka na, try mo sa ResMed. Factory is in Bellavista area. Maraming pinoy Engr. doon. Hiring sila... Google mo lng Site nila them call after sending your CV online. aralan mi din products nila.. They make medical equipment.

@JayVil show your teaching career sa mga universities.. Access their website then call if they need a teacher.. Kung part time ok na yun.Do you know university teachers are earning a lot in Sydney?? Pwede ka rin researcher sa faculty for a start.

Google mo kasi marami kang options. Be proactive lng talaga.
