Hello po!! Sa mga nag bridging program po jan, any tips? I'll be having my bridging program in ACFE (melbourne) in their February intake. How much po kaya pwede na pocket money since may pagstayan naman ako dun for free? thanks po sa mga magrereply!!🙂

@cattrac it really depends on your lifestyle..but having a place to stay is already a big help.

make a budget:

groceries: 50 to 80aud

Fare: 7.52aud/day or 135aud if you will buy a one month pass (unlimited train/bus/tram)

Mobile: 30aud

Since you will be staying up to Autumn prepare warm clothes, although there are a lot of second hand shops you can buy winter clothes from.

@cattrac Yes per week..eating out can be expensive..kasi typically 10-14aud per meal ang magastos mo..

Manada naman free entrance or discounted sa mga pasyalan sa melbourne. if bibila k yung one month unlimited pass sa trains/trams/bus sulit n..pasyal k n all day.

What I mean is madami free entrances or discounted, be sure to ask and bring your student ID. San k mag placement? if sa country..madali umiwas sa temptation nasa country ako the whole time nang bridging course k. and since paid n yung accommodation k, at group kame bumibili nang food believe it or not I only spent 350aud for 3 months..no need n kasi for transpo kasi walking distance lng lahat..

@tooties wow saya naman. I'm not sure though where the clinical placement will be. Pero kung malayo sa accommodation ko makikipagshare na lang ako sa mga classmates para mas malapit..para less gastos at di effort sa byahe! Hehe kasi yun school sa cbd, i believe..kaya ayun marami siguro temptation dun haha!

@cattrac Yes point cook is in zone 2 of melbourne around 30-40 mins to city.

to travel use this app moovit in app store ( best app) i use this everyday especially as I am doing agency nursing.

as to food prices check coles.com.au to have a better idea.

Hi everyone, I'm currently fixing my immunisation requirements for placement for my upcoming nursing course. Meron po ba dito na nakapag submit na before ng immunisation form? I am assured by my mom na complete ako sa vaccines but we lost all the records. Im wondering if a serological test will do as proof and if pwedeng iaccomplish na dito sa ph? Baka kc expensive na kapag sa Australia. I recently called a laboratory and was told that doctors are the ones required to fill out the form. I would appreciate any inputs. Thank you in advance! 🙂

Hello chin.. Dito na ako nagpa serology noon kasi di rin tatanggapin ang mga results from PH.. I spent $200 ata for my serology here..

I did all my immunization and serology in PH. di naman nagkaproblem. I am not sure siguro depende n rin sa school. Better ask your student service coordinator if they will accept it,..or you need yours to be done in Australia.

Try also to ask around sa insurance if they will cover the cost of immunization and serology. You might need to see a GP though to request a script or a blood work request.

I was thinking din na baka expensive kc kapag diyan,. good thing now I have an idea how much thanks to you. Were you able to complete the form without any difficulties?

Hi @tooties! Thanks for your help! I already contacted the school to know if they will accept na dito ko na gawin. I called a lab here sa atin and they have serology testing naman but I was told na dapat Internal Medicine of Family Doc and dapat mag fill-out ng immunisation form provided by the school. May I ask kung saang hospital ka nagpatest and around how much and needed budget for it?
