How to convert PH Driver's License to AU Driver's License?

Try ko apply ng TFN and Centerlink as soon as I land... :-D Baka umabot din within 1 week ang letter from them.

you can do that.. thats what i did..

paglanding, nag-open ng bank account.. humingi ng initial bank statement with my address.. and then presented that to WA transport..

I got my AU DL within 15mins (conversion from US DL)..

Add lng ako ng experience ko.

For the proof of identity, I used my atm card but hindi na accept kasi naka initials lng ung pangalan ko, so ni rebook nla ako. Good thing dumating agad ung medicare card ko un na ginamit ko.

Para sa proof of address nmn I asked for a bank statement, pumunta ako sa nearest branch ng NAB and asked for a printout.

So un, make sure f mg open kau ng atm card, pa request to use ur full name and not ur initials. HTH.

Ung passport pwede pra proof of identity. Ung Ph license needed xa to show proof that u have overseas license but not for the proof of identity.

And another thing pala, better if u still have ur original receipt of the license to show first issue date, though nasa format nmn ng license numbr natin, bt f meron pwd ipakita din.

Mai listahan kc sila kung ano ung valid proof of identity na inaaccept nila. Un ung nasa list 1 and list 2 nila.

when i had my initial entry in NSW, i went to Sydney RTA office and presented my US license,

so since its less than 2 years, tama nga ung sinabi mo, they will give you P (not Learner).. pero i said i've been driving for more than 10 yrs (Phils and UAE) ... kaso hindi ko dala ang mga ibang licenses ko..

so hindi na lang muna ako nagprocess...

Eto ang pagkaintindi ko:

P- provisional license, meron ka ng license, pero may restrictions sa mga speed limit etc..

L- learner's, hindi ka pwde magdrive pag walang kasamang may Full License</blockquote>

anong license nakuha mo eventually? here's an info for SG license holders: my husband today got a FULL license in WA. PH license holder for 5yrs, then nag BTT sya sa SG nung feb 2014, we moved to WA on April 2014.

So basically, 5yr PH license + 3mos SG license, he was given full license (no theory or practical exam reqd)

Ok to ah...madali lang pala conversion. Tanung q lang kasi di ba meron manual at matic naka indicate ba sa license kung manual o matic license? Temporary lang visa q pero i pa convert ko na rin to Aust license para astig. Lol!

@rei_ya, kabayan I have a question tungkol dito.dumaan ba si mister mo sa eye test, ano2x documents hiningi sa kany bukod sa perm address statement..may fee ba? naka indicate kasi sa vic roads libre yung conversion ng Overseas lic to AU equivqlent

@gmad06 if conversion, no fee ang appointment which costs 16.40 AUD pero ang licence mismo, may fee. 74 AUD ang 3 year licence simula sa July 1. Wala namang eye test na gagawin. May ipapabasa lang na several letters from a specific distance. Documents na pwede mo i-present ay passport, proof of permanent address (i.e. letter from medicare, centrelink, banks), visa grant notice at saka yung current licence mo.

@gmad06 di ako nagpa-convert. dinaanan ko yung 3 exams. PH licence lang kasi ang hawak ko. I am not sure kung pwede sa Aus Post ang conversion. I think tatawag ka sa Vicroads for the appointment, saka ka pupunta sa date at time ng appointment mo.

Ask ko lang if need ko pa ba renew ang PH drivers license ko kahit na may SGP drivers license na ko? Alin ba sa 2 license ang mas valid na ipa-convert sa AU? Thank you in advance
